DUmmy failure, part "eleventy million"
« on: February 05, 2017, 09:30:07 PM »
Glanced through the General Discussion forum throughout the Super Bowl.  Yep, I'm a glutton for punishment.

Almost every single thread was twisting the surroundings of Super Bowl LI into something political.  This is a big reason why you lost the 2016 election and will continue to lose.  It is a sporting event that distracts people from the unpleasantness of many everyday lives.

And, since the Patriots just won the first overtime game in Super Bowl history...how soon will the DUmmies blame Putin or James Comey?

Suck it up, get a life and simply enjoy stuff.

First Trump comes out of nowhere and beats the odds to win the presidency over Clinton. Now, Brady and the Patriots perform self-resurrection in the Super Bowl.

Oh jeez, lefties, you lose again. You just can't seem to ride the winning horse, can you?

I mean, really, I would not have cared that much about this Super Bowl if not for the left's emotional investment in it, and their petty politics (which blew up in their faces, just like everything they've done since the election).

I'm with you. I absolutely loath Tom Brady...  but was rooting hard for the Patriots tonight. My wife thinks I'm drunk or something... cheering for the pats

New England barely won Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania at the last minute.

Why did the Left emotionally invest in it?
Usually, they hate the Superbowl, writing pretentious pages about how it's an evil game and "Bread and circuses" and whatnot.

Because it was discovered that Brady had a MAGA hat in his locker a little while ago.  Outraged reporters were demanding he "explain himself."   Oh, and the pats coach is a Trump supporter.

It's November 8 all over again.

Before the game - "Atlanta is going to win this game, no question."
First quarter - Atlanta in the lead, and the Patriots aren't looking too great.
Second quarter - Atlanta in a huge lead.
Third quarter (first part) - Patriots score a field goal, but Atlanta continues to widen their lead.
Third quarter (second part) - Patriots start coming back, but Atlanta is still waaaaay ahead. Might as well give it up, Tr...I mean Brady.
Fourth Quarter - Patriots come back and tie the game. Liberals are getting very nervous.
Overtime - Patriots win. Liberals in meltdown. "Brady cheated! Russians! JOOOOOOOS!"

And now, after reading the past couple of pages of General Discussion in DU, my shadenboner has become self-aware.

The nightmare continues with unreal pats win

I feel like this is some kind of bizzaro world lately where evil always wins. First Trump, and now the cheating, lucky, all around dislikeable pats win the SB with the largest comeback of SB history. Feels like the world won't give me a single damn thing to feel good about lately.

14. It does

It promotes a game, especially for youth, that when played correctly, will cause permanent brain damage.

A win from a team like the patriots, in which the owner, manager and QB are all unabashed trump fans, emboldens the cult of personality around trump and will intensify the radicalism of his followers.

17. I know it's just a game,

But with so many undertones...

If you are familiar at all with the story of Seabiscuit, the racehorse that raised Americans' spirits during the depression in the 1930s, and I'm sure there are plenty of other similar sports stories, you know the impact these games can have.

Besides, it's triggering my PTSD from election night.

Had the Falcons won you would have been crowing how this hurt Trump (somehow) and would not have given 2 sh!ts about concussions.

So, DU-folk weren't rooting for the Pats because the New England states voted for The SHREW-CHILL and Georgia voted for Trump? I'll never figure out DU-folks' hierarchy of shibboleths.

As someone who was hoping the Falcons would win, I can tell you if you were planning on an Atlanta pro sports team to bring home the bacon, you're more mentally ill than modern medicine can cure. Part of pulling for an Atlanta pro sports team is knowing they'll likely find a way to blow it.

Unless they have Greg Maddox.  :-)

Emphasis added.

I know what PTSD is -- guys and gals who feared for their lives every day, involved in firefights the Devil himself would run away from, seeing buddies die and maimed.  Yeah, an election that didn't go your way and the wittle snowflakes have PTSD.

ESAD/FOAD -- and I mean it literally, Dummy.  I hope the win of one professional team (in a blue state) over another makes you so sad you jump off a bridge.  Just think, the last words your tiny brain thinks will be "No! I take it back!"

Normally I hate the Pats, but this is making everything about their win beautiful.  Schadenboner meter is pinned this morning.

I was pulling some for the Falcons, just to have a different champion. But between the 9ers owners/manglers @#$%^ing over fans, QB K's ignorant hate-driven tantrumming and the NFL's support of such antics, I've not followed football much the past 2 or 3 years. And I won't until K's been sent to the Arena League and NFL athletes shut up and play football.

Scahdenboner status:  Sending back images of the Oort Cloud.

Best part is Trump predicted the point spread better than the "experts" and years ago predicted Brady to have five SB wins.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

I hate the Pats also and especially the "vomit worthy" adoration of Tom Brady, but I agree I knew this would be win/win situation. Either the Pats would lose and I'd be happy, or they'd win and the moonbats would complain.  To tell you the truth, Trump's going to torment the DUmmies so much for the next 4/8 yrs I would've rather Pats lost.

Favorite line of the whole movie: "At a time when the world really needed a drink, you couldn't get one in the United States of America."

Updated to 2017 version: "At a time when a bunch of moonbats really needed more free shit from Democrats, you couldn't get one in the United States of America."
