I think you may be correct. Just after the little bear-in-trap clip you can see the police officer walk away, and that he has something cylindrical in his left hand (the one he gestured with, causing the balloon to burst).

protesters nowadays are trained to scream and drop on the slightest  excuse. that way they can edit the footage and pretend the cops are brutal
