Triggered!
« on: January 25, 2017, 01:52:43 PM »
Here is a story about triggering my local Teachers union.

My school district is in big financial trouble.  Town is declining but we have a sprawling district with a shrinking tax base. We have to fix it but the teachers union and the spineless school board refuse to cooperate.

We have a good Superintendent with a proven track record that we hired to fix the district.  He gets no cooperation and is blocked at every step.

Our local newspaper is vey liberal and only supports the union.  Local discussion and debate is stifled by the "friends and family" groups that formed to do the dirty work the teachers can't. They use their army of harpies to scream about poor persecuted teachers.  No one is ever allowed to speak for the parents and students except the teachers whom actually only speak for them selves.

The paper printed some pro-union propaganda and I decided to trigger them. Posted this.

Quote
"Galesburg Education Association President Dave Sharp has criticized the administration for proposing to eliminate jobs without understanding what the jobs actually entail."

How arrogant he is to say that the administration does not understand their jobs, they are professionals that know more than him.

Perhaps he does not understand what these jobs entail and that failure to understand very likely includes his own job.

Of course the union president is a teacher that is allowed to work half time with the other half  union work while being paid by tax payers.  But as a teacher he is supposed to watch his rhetoric disparaging his bosses. I despise the man and the fact that I have to pay taxes so he can do union agitation.

This triggered the union as I wanted and they sniffed around.  A union teacher confronted my daughter at school and asked her if she knew me and if she was aware of the things I was posting. She said "of course, that's my Dad."

Teachers trying to bully my daughter for my opinions. This filled me with righteous anger.  A simple call to the Administration alerting them to the teachers intimidation tactics produced great results.

RMN, for your daughter's sake, I suggest being prepared to homeschool her. The added benefit, if you do, is that it will PO the union types all the more.

I still prefer Trigger being a palomino.

I agree. She's almost done in high school though.  She went to Catholic school Pre-K to 8th grade. Our private school stops at 8th. My little one is in 4th grade in Private school.

I hate teachers unions.  The first year my oldest went to the public High School the teachers striked that year the day before school started. Over 3 weeks. Ruined a semester.

In solidarity the city relaxed what ever ordinances there are that mean strikers must walk on the side walk. The teachers were allowed tables, chairs, big umbrellas, tarps, etc... and set them up on school property and blocked the sidewalks. They just sat there for 3 weeks. Just like if they were in class.

When the strike ended admin forced a concession that teachers lose pay for not working. They cried and hollered.  In a secret spot where they hide to speak The union President was wining that now he could only go to Disneyland with his family once this year. It offended me deeply.

But I kept quiet since we were starting new at the high school. I have time on my hands and enjoy the hobby  so I just watch this one. See what he posts, what he hides, where he goes online. LOL

But I threw soon to be Secratary DeVoss's name out as bait also into the post and it turns out that is what triggered them.

The one that talked to my daughter is the one I hold an old grudge for it turns out.  Was this coincidence or Providence? Providence I believe. But he's been counseled.

The union is weak and relies on mockery and ridicule by proxy.

But my reputation is that nobody likes me to start with.
