I'm devastated

I watched the DT inauguration, thinking I was a grown-up, and could take it. Wrong. I didn't know so many illusions -- in the goodness of my own people -- in grass-roots innate wisdom -- that America was aiming toward some kind of abstract greatness -- were still swimming around in my chest. Seeing DT take the oath smashed the aquarium glass. Now those illusions have poured out and are flopping on the floor. It shouldn't be this way.

i read the transcript. there is nothing there to generate outrage.
losing it over this little speech takes a special kind of worm.

Actually listened to this one live, for once.  There was nothing shocking or horrible in it at all, it was a concise and straightforward call to restore American strength at home and respect abroad, while dumping 'What's good for everyone BUT us' as a priority.
