So how do you define "success"? I don't see any reasonable definition of success possible with the cabinet he's appointing. With absolutely ZERO experience himself, he has to rely on his cabinet for advice. And the incompetent assholes he's picking are not capable of giving any.

I will admit I didn't like him.  I actually felt he was a democrat posing as a republican just to screw around.  BUT he has already accomplished so much that he surprises me every time.  I think he could have the legendary status of Reagan if he stands by all his campaign promises and doesn't weaken for PC.

My predictions of the left in the coming years:

1. The economic success under POTUS Trump will be all because of Obama's groundwork. Nothing will be said of the previous 8 years of Obama economic failure. Also republicans will be blamed for Obama's economic failure because they are racists and want to keep the black man down.
2. The very successful replacement of the unAffordable Care act, AKA ObamaHellcare, will be degraded as this could have been if only republicans were not racist.
3. The POTUS Trump foreign success will also be because of the super intelligent Obama's groundwork. Again, the racist republicans will be the cause of 8 years of Obama's failure.
4. As race relations get better under POTUS Trump it will all be because of Obama's groundwork, Again, the racist republicans will be the cause of 8 years of worsening race relations because they couldn't let a black man heal the country.

In short all of Obama's failures and all of Trump's successes will be because of racism and keeping the black man down.

Their greatest fear is going to happen on Friday. They will be out of power and there is not one damn thing they can do about it.   That is the reason they are going all apeshit.

Same here. I thought he was just doing it for publicity.  As time went on I liked how he fought. Then I realized the man was actually serious.  Did he make outlandish promises?  Sure. Did he lie his ass off half the time? Sure. Do I care? Not in the least.  Personally I think he got into the race to try to show the GOP how to fight, and then figured out they were all pansies.  I will give the man credit... he worked his ass off to get elected.  And he is using the presidential bully pulpit to tell these large companies that the political status quo is no longer gonna cut it.

Hmmmmm ... DU-folks' (and other Progs') greatest fears (I would say political fears, but they really have made politics the core of their lives, sometimes along with recreational chemicals):

* Trump will succeed with the nation's economy (they still pretzellate themselves to transmogrify Reagan's resounding success into a disaster);

* Trump will be reelected in 2020 and pave the way for another more or less conservative R President in the 2024 election (I'm not counting chickens from unlaid eggs, just listing what I think are DU-folks' greatest fears);

* Trump will succeed in crushing ISIS, A-Q, et al where BHO wouldn't take them seriously until they were resurgent;

* Middle and working lower class (economically, not in character!) will fully realize the Ds are @#$%ing them over economically and viciously attacking things they hold dear;

* Blacks and Hispanics (folks who are part of the above) will fully realize the Ds are using them as political pawns and viciously attacking things they hold dear (e.g., CA's Proposition 8 could never have passed without a very substantial % of blacks' and Hispanics' votes).

These could be summed up as a long-term loss of power, but deserve to be recognized individually.

As they did in 2001-2006, the Rs can @#$% up their advantage by going tax-and-spend. That, actually, should be Libs' and Progs' greatest hope.
