Trump May Kick Press Out of White House

The team behind President-elect Donald Trump is mulling over whether they should kick the press corps completely out of the White House.

They would be exiled to the White House Conference Center, near Lafayette Square, or in the Old Executive Office Building, next door to the White House, according to one plan.

One can hope. The other side of the Potomac would be better, or the other side of the Appalachians, among normal people would be even better.

One good aspect of the GWB Presidency was that MSM folk covering him had to go to Crawford and rub shoulders with normal people. Unfortunately, if Trump takes breaks in NYC, MSM folk will be able to stay within their partisan MSM bubble.

Sean Spicer, the incoming White House press secretary, told the magazine “there has been no decision” but the Trump team is trying to figure out how to accommodate more press.

“There’s been so much interest in covering a President Donald Trump,” he said. “A question is: ‘Is a room that has 49 seats adequate?’ When we had that press conference the other day, we had thousands of requests, and we capped it at four hundred. Is there an opportunity to potentially allow more members of the media to be part of this? That’s something we’re discussing.”
