Obama: “America is no longer what it once was”
Quote
When presidential candidates answer questions from children about why they want the job, most will give an answer that uplifts the child and the candidate.  Not Barack Obama.  At a campaign stop in Elkhart, Indiana, a seven-year-old girl asked the Democrat why he wants to be President — and he told her that America has gone downhill.

If you go by the caliber of Presidential candidates we have, he's got a point.

What did it used to be that he wants ?

moral ?   I'm OK with that but his party is the cause, not the cure.
segregated ?   I don't think much of anybody is OK with that.
less socialist (on the curve to 'not at all socialist' way back when) ?
"dry" ?
a minor player on the world stage ?

Me are confused.
My fellow Americans, there is nothing audacious about hope. Hope is what makes people buy lottery tickets instead of paying the bills. Hope is for the old gals feeding the slots in Atlantic City. It destroys the inner-city kid who quits school because he hopes he'll be a world-famous recording artist.

What's the difference between Sarah Palin and Barack Obama?

One is a well turned-out, good-looking, and let's be honest, pretty sexy piece of eye-candy.

The other kills her own food.

His next campaign speech will be to announce there is no Santa Claus or Easter Bunny.

Well, as one of them, I can say you are quite wrong there.  Mayber you should further qualify that by adding "And senile."

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

It hasn't happened here yet.

But we do have more tolerance than RonPaul Central, so we can certainly allow him to post his insanity -- it is something for us to laugh at if nothing else.

Obama is right about our country changing...the libs got control of the NEA, so the public school system is failing.  Libs created social workers, enacted laws to "protect" children and wrote child-raising books, so now many kids are undisciplined brats.  Libs were able to enact laws that make our animals and pets into "companions," and responsible animal owners and breeders have been struggling to remain in business ever since.  Libs filed lawsuits against decency laws, and won enough times that sex and foul language is common on all public media now, and they now hold parades on Main Street in celebration of their degeneracy.   Libs have used the court system to attack the free speech rights of any with whom they disagree, and to force their wishes upon the majority of the country.  Somehow, I don't think Obama is going to make any of this better.   ::)
