ALERT: Disturbing Revelations About Senator Clinton   

I heard two disturbing breaking news stories announcing that Senator Hillary Clinton is reserving the right to have her delegates place her name in nomination at the upcoming Democratic Convention. I also heard that Denver had given a permit for Hillary's supporters to have a parade honoring her novel accomplishments. Apparently it is scheduled on the day that she is to speak at the convention. It was reported that some would be carrying their PUMA (Party Unity My Ass) signs. I'm concerned that such mess plays right into Rush Limbaugh's call to disrupt the convention on a scale akin to that which occurred in Chicago in 1968. I could even see him calling on the NEO-CONS to join in to heighten the discord.

How might we respectfully convince Senator Clinton to discourage her former supporters from staging such counter-productive activities? I know that many supporters of Senator Clinton left messages on my website (which you can still see today) supporting my efforts in this campaign but disagreed with me supporting Senator Barack Obama.

You woulda plotzed if Howard Dean supporters held a demonstration in '04. Unfortunately, he didn't make it to the end of the primaries. But I guarantee you would've done anything to be there. Why is it wrong for people to support another candidate?

Nobody's trying to get her the nomination - they're trying to recognize the historic race that was just run. Why is that so offensive to people? It doesn't hurt Obama in any way.

I think the Presidency is the Ring. Obama thinks he has it. But the FACT is that we, the members of Puma PAC, really have it. The presidency is in OUR hands. All we have to do is stay united. Obama is Gollum and he is OBSESSED with getting the Ring. We must keep it out of his hands.

That is what is offensive and something to worry about. The worse we look the worse our chances in November and McCain.... Lord spare us

Let's give Clinton and her supporters the respect they deserve, the respect they've earned. Why obsess over the PUMA group, which is minuscule and unimportant? Why treat every Clinton supporter as if they're part of that group? It's just stupid.

Clinton brings millions of democrats - not just their votes, but their active support and their money. Why is it so cool to piss on those people? You think you can win without half the party? Swallow your pride and do the rational thing. Treat Clinton supporters as valued allies.

Instead, people here treat 'em like shit. The rest of the so-called netroots do, too. That's a losing strategy.
