I'm going with 'Generally when DUer gets what they want, it blows up and kills a bunch of Democrats.'  Lacking revelation of the specific intelligence on which it is supposedly based (Which will never happen since it would involve divulging sources and methods), the sanctioning action is going to look a lot like a petulant lashing out in revenge for Hitlery's defeat.  The days when the sanctions would be accepted as definitive proof that something must have been there are over, thanks to a record of bad intelligence and politicized BS about whatever intel we DID have under both G. W. Bush and Obamussolini.

Well, I haven't really read into this yet, knowing the reds, they deserve it.
that being said, this is an obvious ego tantrum by broncobama. He's using the other story for cover. The other story (Russians have been abusing our guys on their turf or something) might be legit too.
I'm not much on giving him any credit, but he might have accidentally done the right thing for the wrong reason... which is SOP for that cocky bastard.
