Missing from President Barack Obama's list of people he pardoned earlier this week was accused Army deserter Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl.

The trial for the 30-year-old Bergdahl is scheduled to begin April 18.

Obama Pardons 78, Shortens the Sentence for 153

President Barack Obama has pardoned 78 people and shortened the sentence of 153 others convicted of federal crimes, the greatest number of individual clemencies in a single day by any president, the White House said Monday.

Obama has been granting commutations at rapid-fire pace in his final months in office, but he has focused primarily on shortening sentences of those convicted of drug offenses rather than giving pardons.

Note that the army deliberately delayed and set the trial for AFTER the president was out of office and could not interfere.

How ironic. Obama freed the terrorists he traded for Bergdahl but he won't free Bergdahl.
