Ok DUmmies...let's use a golf analogy...
We both have a good drive off the tee on a par 4, we're about 125 yards out for our second shots. You put a wedge shot BEAUTIFULLY in the air, nice high arc. It hits the green about 10 feet past the pin and even rolls back 3 feet, leaving you with a 7 foot birdie putt.
I top a sand wedge badly, it skitters across the fairway, bounces off a sprinkler head, hits the pin and drops into the hole. Really UGLY shot.
I get an eagle, you lose.
As we say in golf, it's not how you got there, where you got is all that matters.
