According to Bloomberg, Trump called the former Massachusetts governor Monday to tell him
he was not getting the job.
The decision leaves Exxon Mobil Corp. Chief Executive Officer Rex Tillerson as the leading contender, Bloomberg reported, noting Trump praised him during his Fox News interview Sunday.
Bloomberg, citing an unnamed source, said Trump is likely to offer Tillerson the post.
Trump tweeted he will announce his decision Tuesday.
I will be making my announcement on the next Secretary of State tomorrow morning.
