Obama booth at state fair - my DH got into a verbal fight!

Advertisements [?]
We were at our State Fair and found the Obama booth to purchase some bumper stickers, pins, etc. and sign up to volunteer as it gets closer to election.

As we are standing there, an old man comes up to booth and says "all democrats are assholes" to a young worker! Of course, my husband is there and has not been shy this election season to speak up. He asked "why would you say that" and the old guy goes off saying Dems don't respect the sanctity of life, that they spend way too much. My DH then began to talk to the guy and he interrupted at least 3 times calling him an asshole until my husband's voice got louder. All the workers were looking and the old guy says "I'm 84 and served during the Korean war, what have you done" which I could tell, makes my DH madder - I finally pulled him away so as not to have the State Fair Police (yes, they have those too) come get my husband!

As we were leaving, all the workers looked at us and said the old guy was the asshole!

All that's missing is the conversion of the guy and the cops jumping out of the bushes.

84 and he served in Korea?  WWII would have been a better fit for a guy who's 84.
25 years ago we had Ronald Reagan, Johnny Cash and Bob Hope.  Now we have Obama, no hope and no cash.

Oh my.

For a minute there, I thought I had wandered onto a 360-hole golf course, with 720 golfers swinging the clubs.

Balls bouncing all over the place, too many to dodge.

My dad would have been 81 in October.  He volunteered for WWII and was in the Navy.  He got drafted into Korea and served in the Marines. I think that they were at the fair, at a Obama booth and the guy served in Korea are the only truths in that stretchy.

Even in bouncies, ever notice how the peace loving liberals are always blowing a fuse and threatening calm conservatives?  Pretty good look into what leftists would do from their fantasi....bouncy fables.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

My Grandpa just turned 82 and served in both.  He fought the Soviets in WWII (Finnish).  Moved to the US and got drafted into the Army for Korea.  Got out of the Army and was in the Air Force for the Cuban Missile Crisis (he was in Turkey) and Vietnam.

He has nothing but open contempt for communists, whatever they are calling themselves.  I learned three things from him, botany, biology, and hunting.

My maternal grandfather would have turned 86 this year, he served as an enlisted man in WWII and as an Army spook of some sort in Germany during the Korean war.  My paternal grandfather is 82 (I think, although at this point I doubt if anyone other than him knows how old he is) and served in Korea.
