State senator sues God
Lawmaker asks court to ban Almighty from 'harmful activities,' 'terroristic threats'

A Nebraska state senator is moving forward with a controversial lawsuit against his maker, requesting "a permanent injunction ordering [God] to cease certain harmful activities and the making of terroristic threats."

State Sen. Ernie Chambers, I-Omaha, appeared before Douglas County District Judge Marlon Polk in a scheduling hearing against God on July 28.

Chambers, an atheist, requested that the court acknowledge the presence of God in the courtroom so he wouldn't be required to "serve notice" of the trial, according to the Omaha World-Herald.

The court had previously told Chambers the lawsuit would be thrown out if he was unable to serve notice to his Creator.

Chambers responded by arguing he attempted to contact God on multiple occasions and he should not be required to verify his existence when the U.S. government acknowledges him by printing "In God We Trust" on its currency.

Well, he does have that certain doofus look about him.

Yeah, that's once-state senator Ernie Chambers.

He got term-limited out of office, finally.

But to be honest, I'd just as soon Vast Teddy got term-limited out of office; Chambers was an obstructive nuisance to getting things constructive done in Nebraska, but we could handle him.  America can't handle Vast Teddy, though.

Be glad my fellow CCers that your state has never had the need to have that person serve as your state senator. Most of the things he has said in open session in time he was there would have gotten most others crusified on live TV 24/7 and on pay per view.

Here are some links to give you all an idea just what kind of an ass this guy is.

Not long ago his own son was shot while inside of a home he didn't own by persons unknown.

"Son of State Sen. Ernie Chambers shot near 20th and Lake Streets
BY LYNN SAFRANEK
WORLD-HERALD STAFF WRITER

The son of Nebraska State Sen. Ernie Chambers was found shot early Thursday near 20th and Lake Streets.

Police said the injuries to Ernest Chambers, 44, were not considered life-threatening.

Ernie Chambers said Thursday in Lincoln that he had not heard about the shooting. He said he would return to Omaha to learn more.

Officers on patrol about 12:10 a.m. spotted a man who was bleeding. The man, Ernest Chambers, told them he had been in an abandoned house at 2011 Ohio St. when someone entered the house and fired a gun several times, hitting him. Chambers told police that he then ran south from the residence to look for help.

The officers called a rescue squad, which took Chambers to Creighton University Medical Center in critical condition. A hospital official said she could not release an update on his condition.

Ernest Chambers listed his address as the Siena-Francis House homeless shelter at 1702 Nicholas St.

Ernest Chambers has a history of committing petty crimes dating back to 1995. He has been fined and jailed for possessing drug paraphernalia, possessing less than an ounce of marijuana, having an open container of liquor in public, disorderly conduct and failing to appear at court dates.

As early as April 1995, Chambers was listing the Siena-Francis House address as his home address.

Sen. Ernie Chambers, 70, has represented northeast Omaha in the Nebraska Legislature since 1970."

Ernie also tried to stop the execution of a child molester that killed two young boys, one the  son of Air Force members. He has also stood up for two convicted killers of a Omaha Police officer that was killed during in line of duty by a boobie trapped suitcase loaded with explosives.

Here is another link to John Joubert.

Ernie also had no trouble helping another sicko named Walking Willie Otey.

If its anything Ernie is consistant but he has not been worth the taxpayers dime to keep in office. the only way they had left in Nebraska was to term limit him out.

One is left to wonder where this twit obtained his sense of morality to find fault with the alleged actions of God. Does he imagine he has the authority to challenge the Author?
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

The court should make him prove proper service of process like they would for any other lawsuit.
