Support for Abolishing Electoral College Hits Historic Low in Gallup Poll

(CNSNews.com) – In the wake of an election in which Hillary Clinton won the popular vote but Donald Trump was elected president by winning the Electoral College, a survey showed the lowest percentage of people ever in a Gallup poll saying they would support amending the Constitution to eliminate the Electoral College and decide presidential elections by the popular vote.

“This year, for the first time in the 49 years Gallup has asked about it, less than half of Americans want to replace the Electoral College with a popular vote system,” Gallup said in an analysis of its poll results.

She failed to maintain the appearance the goodwill that the Democratic Party has hidden behind for decades. Instead of a glass ceiling, she managed to shatter the illusion that the Democrats hold the moral high ground. They can’t even muster support for the abolition of the Electoral College on the contrary they have diminished it.

What a waste of time and energy even talking about abolishing the EC.  Do any of those people realize how difficult it is to change the constitution?

3. CA has more electoral votes than anyone (55). If anything they may actually

be over represented.

The right would argue that the defacto sanctuary status of the entire state AND the ability for illegal immigrants to easily obtain a drivers license AND once that is done, the ability to register to vote, could mean as many as 2-3 MILLION invalid and non-citizen votes.

Probably best to just leave this one alone.

He's mostly correct, but EC seats are apportioned among the states by a formula, not arbitrarily. Admitting massive vote fraud like that could lead to an early pizza dinner for "yes-Im-a-wizard".
