Oh my.

I knew in advance the Obamaite primitives wouldn't like the debate moderators, whoever they turned out to be, but it seems to me the issue's going to be pretty much moot by the time the debates start, Barry "Goldwater" Obama sinking by then.  Even with Fidel Castro as moderator won't help.

Those fools wouldn't be happy unless the panel consisted of the crew at Air America.

I think conservatives are different, at least I am. I would no more want Rush Limbaugh to be a moderator than I would that stupid C-word Randi Rhodes. Someone who has been, or shown to be, as unbiased as possible when giving the news or moderating would be the mold. Brit Hume would be find. Juan Williams would do (No, he's not unbiased, but he IS open-minded enough to listen to both sides).

It doesn't matter who moderates these "debates".  The prospect of any debate is terrifying to Obama Hussein and his crowd.  In all likelihood, debating will mean the end for their candidate.  Their man cannot "wing it".

how about just plain old Americans asking the candidates questions off the cuff? McCain tried hard to do that in his town hall idea - Obama ran from that.

maybe moderators help the process along, unless Al Gore is wandering around the stage, but otherwise, I'd like to see Americans in every state get a chance to ask both parties some questions we KNOW the moderators would never allow.

Though I don't know for sure, I suspect the debate questions are determined (more or less) by committee before the debate and the moderator basically controls the flow, and helps to insure all the challengers stay within allowed time.

To expect that any of the moderators are going to unbalance the playing field by soft-ballinq questions to McCain is paranoia.

I think what the primitives want are moderators that are so left that they are guaranteed to ride McCain hard, and to perhaps leak the questions to team Obama ahead of time.
