It's theoretically possible here, and has happened almost chronically elsewhere over time. Not even any speculation?

The U.S. system is particularly vulnerable to this, if U.S. citizens reject it out of hand. The isolation of the geographical situation of the U.S. is proof against almost all military action, but there is no such isolation on the Web.
