Thanksgiving
« on: November 23, 2016, 06:14:27 PM »
Well, it's Thanksgiving again. Or as the DUmmies view it: Make-Up-Bullshit-Stories-to-Build-DUmp-Cred day.

To all of the good and decent folks at CC I wish a safe and very happy Thanksgiving. Thanks to you all for the intelligent posts and the insightful humor intermingled with them. Also thanks to miskie and the mods for keeping this place running and running smoothly.

To all of the bottom-dwellers at DU...oh well.

Wait! I do have something to thank the DUers for. Thank you to the DUers being the perfect example of a bad example. Thank you to the DUers for being the yardstick by which lunacy, stupidity, and delusion can be measured. Thank you to the DUers for the unintended laughter that you bring to all good and decent people in the country.

Also to the DUers, we wait with bated breath for your fabricated Bouncy Tales tomorrow. Please don't let us down.

Something tells me there won't be many bouncies this year.  I suspect they will all be curled up at home in their safe bed spaces too traumatized to drag their worthless asses out of bed to go to dinner.

This pleases me.  Oh how it pleases me.   :cheersmate:

I have the opposite view--there will be around the same number of bounties this year, and the carnage produced by them will be increased.  Think what occurred in, say, the aftermath of the 2000 election.  The DUmp hadn't been established as the Web's foremost loony bin, but the stories were legion.

The ones that do go to family events and cause problems will be reminiscent of 'The Thriller in Manilla,' they will be so epic.
"Timid men prefer the calm of despotism to the tempestuous sea of Liberty." - Thomas Jefferson

"All you have to do is look straight and see the road, and when you see it, don't sit looking at it - walk!" -Ayn Rand

"Those that trust God with their safety must yet use proper means for their safety, otherwise they tempt Him, and do not trust Him.  God will provide, but so must we also." - Matthew Henry, Commentary on 2 Chronicles 32, from Matthew Henry's Commentary on the Whole Bible

"These anti-gun fools are more dangerous to liberty than street criminals or foreign spies."--Theodore Haas, Dachau Survivor

Oh I disagree.. I think we're going to hear all sorts of "dinner table conversions" of relatives having regretted their vote for Trump (naturally the whole family will stand and applause after the conversion, or nod their heads in agreement)... Naturally this will only fuel their hope for a recount that somehow gives the election to Hillary, or to maintain hope that they can swing over 30 EC voters to go from Trump to Hillary.

A very happy Thanksgiving to one and all!

One more thing to thank them for:
I thank them for helping me see just how badly people can sink. When I might at times feel bad about my own life, I can just look at DU, and be thankful that I'm not living the kinds of miserable, hate- filled, dope- addled existences that they live. They make my life look freaking awesome by comparison. It's kind of like watching a much less likable/ amusing version of Al Bundy from 'Married With Children.'

there will be bouncies as early as this evening. It'll go something like this:

So, we were sitting at the table eating dinner and my Trump loving in-laws were suddenly nervous about the election. When I explained how much better hillary would have been, my in-laws suddenly saw the light and wished they could go back in time to change their vote.

And whatnot.
Liberals disgust me. (Now I don't have to remember to put it on each post).

Because only the left goes searching for that which is not there in a desperate attempt to be offended about something.

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams

I predict the Bouncies will mostly follow one of four ideas...

1-None of the DUmmie's rethug family members voted for Trump. They either voted for Hitlery or didn't vote. This backs up the standard "the election was stolen" cry.
2-The DUmmie's rethug family members did vote for Trump but are now scared of what they've been seeing out of him.
3-The DUmmie's rethug family members did vote for Trump and the DUmmie's brilliant wit and wisdom puts them in their place.
4-The DUmmie's rethug family members are scared to admit how they voted because they are scared of the DUmmie's wit and wisdom.

I for one am giving thanks today. Leaving to go over to my cousin's place in Excremento (Crapital of Kommiefornia) to gather with my family. We'll eat, and gloat, and drink, and gloat, watch football, and gloat and have a GRAND time.

To the DUmmies: Piss off. I won't even throw you table scraps until you learn how to behave yourselves. A rolled up newspaper across the snout is all you get this year.

Happy Thanksgiving Day to all the Cavers and Free Americans everywhere. God Bless, and God Bless America  :usflag:

I'd love to see a primitive talk about boycotting thanksgiving because it symbolizes the domination and assimilation of native cultures by the white devils, really bring out the worst in them

Hey, I can't tell you how good it was, to finally meet a stellar member of conservativecave in real life.....and on Thanksgiving no less.

There's always been lots and lots of chances, but the stars and planets would never align up right.

Something like this?

I was eating Thanksgiving dinner with my ultra RW fanatic family when they started talking about what Trump winning the election means for America. And I jumped up and said, "Nah-uh!! Hillary won the popular vote! She should be president and you know it!!!"

Then a cop jumped out of the kitchen in a chef's apron, and the cruelly slaughtered turkey, now reanimated, began applauding.

The end. To be continued... maybe.

I was really hoping for another throwing the Thanksgiving tofurkey through the plate glass window in the dining room story like we got back in '04 (God, I wish I still had a link to that one; it was hilarious!).  I haven't seen anything like that at this point, but I also haven't really had time to cruise the DUmp, either.
