Kansas school bans teachers from wearing safety pins

Ah yes the crap flinging monkeys are at the idiocy yet again. For example the below is what they inmates are poo flinging about.

Quote
"Recent events require us to remind our employees of their rights and responsibilities. As a staff member, you do not give up your first amendment right to free-speech on matters of public concern. However, your communication inside the classroom on school time is considered speech on behalf of the school district and there is a limitation on that speech.

The wearing of a safety pin as a political statement is the latest example of such political speech. Although wearing the safety pin as political speech is not the problem, any disruption the political statement causes in the classroom or school is a distraction in the education process. We ask staff members to refrain from wearing safety pins or other symbols of divisive and partisan political speech while on duty — unless such activity is specifically in conjunction with District curriculum."

Yes asking people to be polite and behave themselves is definitely something a nazi would do.  :thatsright:

Yes I see the the little Fascists are quoting a Supreme Court case but they are seeing only what they want and not what it says.

So I say to the little Fascists the last eight years sucked horribly and I wish all would just Get the F*** off of this Planet.  :cheersmate:

They need diapers so that explains the safety pin.

Progs made wearing a safety pin political "speech". Political speech in classrooms to a captive audience (and indirectly manipulating the students' parents) is illegal in many/most/all US states, regardless of POV! IOW, this carefully worded reminder has little to do with Gov. Brownback. He's just reminding snowflake propagandist-wannabes of what the law in KS has probably been for decades.

30 or 40 years ago, most teachers understood that not only is political speech in classrooms illegal, but it is also unprofessional.

I saw a conservative response to the safety pin--a small straw stapled to someone's shirt.

I wore a "safety pin" myself during my college-age years.

'Course, my definition of "safety" was a bit different than the snowflakes' definition.

ONE FINAL NOTE: Remember what a safety pin was originally invented for...
