Donald Trump scolded media big shots during an off-the-record Trump Tower sitdown on Monday, sources told The Post.

“It was like a f–ing firing squad,” one source said of the encounter.

“Trump started with [CNN chief] Jeff Zucker and said ‘I hate your network, everyone at CNN is a liar and you should be ashamed,’ ” the source said.

“The meeting was a total disaster. The TV execs and anchors went in there thinking they would be discussing the access they would get to the Trump administration, but instead they got a Trump-style dressing down,” the source added.

A second source confirmed the fireworks.

“The meeting took place in a big board room and there were about 30 or 40 people, including the big news anchors from all the networks,” the other source said.

“Trump kept saying, ‘We’re in a room of liars, the deceitful dishonest media who got it all wrong.’ He addressed everyone in the room calling the media dishonest, deceitful liars. He called out Jeff Zucker by name and said everyone at CNN was a liar, and CNN was [a] network of liars,” the source said.

Trump is passing on a message from the American people.

That he sees that it needed to be said shows that he is paying attention.

If they had learned anything, I mean really learned anything, it wouldn't have been a surprise - they'd have expected it.

Too funny.  The media execs were probably expecting a suckup session now that Trump is PE.  But Trump knows from his campaign that his victory ensures they'll be after him 24x7 and throws down the gauntlet. 

I sure hope he taps Laura Ingraham to be press secretary because she won't hold back on them either.

OK, I'm a bit surprised. I thought it was going to be a bit more subtle, along the lines of, "OK, we all know what you did and tried to do. Are you ready to cease being partisan operatives and become journalists?"

Not that they didn't richly deserve every word and more. Trump delivered the medicine in such an obvious bitter-pill-to-swallow manner that I'm wondering a bit if he wasn't trying to antagonize them so they will will continue their partisan ways, giving him a knee-jerkingly convenient and inadvertently cooperative target.

Too many years working with the establishment of both parties. They figured after the election things would go back to normal like it always does. Trump is not one of the establishment, has a long memory and knows how to carry a grudge.

I almost feel sorry for these news people.

Not only that... Trump is fighter.  He is not gonna take any shit from the media, not gonna roll over like the normal GOP politicians do, gonna hit back at them if he feels he is slighted in the least little way.

Long time coming if you ask me.  The MSM was always gonna go after any GOP pres and Trump even more so than usual. I guess that Trump figures he can't piss them off any more than they already are so he might as well hit 'em back.

He has already proven he don't need their ass and got them in a position where people just ain't gonna listen to them anymore.  I'm waiting for the day when he kicks them out of the white house pres conferences.  Then we they piss and moan he will get on twitter and nail their ass to the wall.

If he secures the border and brings down the MSM in the process I will consider that one hell of a successful first term.   :cheersmate:

I predict the dump is gonna have a resurgence comparable to their hey day back in the early 2000's. This is gonna be a blast!! :yahoo:

I think for the time being we'll just have to strap a black russian on over the ole' schadenboner and call it good.  Hopefully things will subside in a few months.
