Not only is "PEAK OIL!" a bust but the money belongs to Texas, of all places:

The Wolfcamp shale in the area of Midland, Texas is estimated to contain three times the oil and gas of the Bakken shale formation in Montana and North Dakota. From the USGS:

I read this morning that the Wolfcamp field is the second largest in the world, behind a Saudi Arabian field.  Good to know that the Wolfcamp field will turn the USA into OPEC's worst nightmare . . . again! :whistling: :-)

Glenn Beck was spewing that "Peak Oil" @#$% back in 2007 or 2008, IIRC. It just fits better with Lib/Prog Enviros' Malthus-style Chicken-Little-ism.
