When I was a kid my brother and I listened to an old Spike Jones record that had a skit we called Beetle Bomb.  Strange humor for today but we thought it quite amusing back then.

Beetle Bomb was a race horse and the skit was an announcer calling the race as it progressed. Dumb humor, but throughout the race Beetle Bomb is in last place. Then he calls out the winner who is Beetle Bomb.

This election has reminded me of that skit. Last place, last place but when they announce the winner it's Trump.

Major Nuisance (of SF), now Lt. Guber Nonsense, is hoping to become Guber Nonsense in 2018. So he has to fire up the nuttiest Ds in the country (at least arguably so) to get the nomination.

CA Rs are pathetic. Either they run a Mo-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-oderate who sucks up $$ but otherwise hardly campaigns, or the voters go for a good conservative, and the Mo-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-oderates take their $$ and go home.
