Well, whoop-whoop-de-do, kentuck.

So do we, so do we.

I choose to believe in the goodness of America.

And not the darkness.

That is why it is so baffling - that so many Americans are backing Donald Trump for President?

The racism, the hatred, the anger, the walls, the deportations, the lies, the name-calling, the arrogance, the violence, the incitement, the misogyny, the xenophobia, etc. Those are dark forces.

I prefer to believe that America is a better country. We should strive to make it better.

I believe Hillary Clinton wants our country to be better.

Oh.

That's what he means, not quite what I was thinking.

1. Me, too, Kentuck.

I felt like Hillary won the election with her acceptance speech at the convention. Everything after that has been an attempt by GOP and corporate cable infotainment to tighten the race (with a little help from their friends, FBI Director Comey and Vladimir Putin).

2. I agree.

I've seen some nasty, dark things here too.

We're better than that

we are trying to elect a President that will want us to do better, not worse.

9. Exactly right.

We need to keep to the high road.

4. At least we all love our dogs and cats

Seriously- that's the one thing that comforts me. Even the most redneck, misogynist, gay-baiting Trump supporter goes home and is happy to see his friendly dog greeting him with a tail wag. The same as I am.

There's common decency if you know where to look for it.*

I agree with you.

6. Then you should be able to see through this election

This is a wholly media created circus. This race has never been close despite what the media is still pushing to this day.

Even the maps they are showing at this point have her with a 270 vote starting point. That is not close. When have we ever gone into a presidential election when the maps showed 270 already locked up.

The rest is gravy.

Just because the media has portrayed this as close all election does not make it so.

He lead once for like two days even in the polls that I think we will see got it horribly wrong this time. She has maintained the lead for the rest of the race from the beginning.

The coverage is entertainment nothing more it has little or no basis in reality.

Wow.

Just......wow.

7. You may be right about the coverage..

I'm sure they have covered Hillary's "emails" more than any other topic in this election, moreso than all other issues combined.

However, if they have not put a dangerous sociopath close to the Presidency, they have brought out some very dark and dangerous ideas, very harmful and hurtful for our people.

We need to be united against such forces.

hillary doesn't give a shit about you or this Country.  All she cares about is power and to be known in history as the first President with a vagina.

and as for your comments on how you can't understand why so many Americans are backing Trump, look at how your side has been acting...

Costa Mesa police say a group of Trump supporters were holding up signs near South Coast Plaza when a man in his twenties approached and cursed at them.

“He was yelling profanities and flipping the middle finger – both hands,” Trump supporter Robin Hvidston said.

That man, according to police, nabbed one of the signs from 72-year-old Darrell Robinson and ran off.

The contempt we have for you is because of your self chosen idiocy, the contempt your "leaders" have for you is because they think you should bow before them.

Guess what, DUmpmonkey?
I believe in the goodness of America, too.
That's a big part of why I don't want her under the control of Hillary.
To be sure, Trump is an obnoxious, bigoted, trash- talking windbag who's given the Republican party a bad name and turned this election season into a circus.
That being said, I'd take him over someone as vicious, corrupt, dishonest, and power- hungry as Hillary.
One's a jerk, the other's flat- out evil.
At the Democratic National Convention, Hillary gladly invited not one but two illegal immigrants to speak on stage. She and her ilk loudly cheered on those criminals who are here in mockery of our nation's laws, spitting in the faces of all the legal immigrants who worked hard to gain legal citizenship the right way (Including a beloved aunt of mine, an immigrant from Mexico who at first had her citizenship through her marriage to my uncle, but was willing to work hard, conform to all the proper legal channels, and finally earned her own independent legal citizenship, doing it the right way; She has a daughter who is more like a sister to me than a cousin, and another daughter whose baby shower I was thrilled to attend last Saturday and let me have the honor of helping to reveal the baby's gender).
Hillary's also borderline cheered on the violence and lawlessness of the Black Lives Matter movement. While I watched very little of the debates (Through a combination of my busy schedule and really not wanting to see two such unpleasant people shrieking at each other for hours), one part I did catch was in the first debate, when the focus turned to Black Lives Matter. Their positions spoke volumes about how they really feel; Trump talked about the importance of reining in the violence and crime seen in BLM protests, while Hillary talked about how "Oh, we really need to bring an end to police brutality!" In other words, she was subtly backing up the BLM rioters, just like Obama's done with them and similar race- rioters over the years ("If I had a son, I bet he'd look just like Trayvon Martin.").
Hillary supports such people, and yet she has the gall to refer to US as "Deplorables"?
A president who seeks the goodness of America should seek to stand up for law and order and the safety of America's people. Republicans do that, while Democrats like Hillary prefer to weep over and sympathize with thieves, murderers, rioters, rapists, child molesters, and terrorists. Always have, and always will.
