A Trump supporter went after me unexpectedly

I was canvassing in Orlando, Fl. I have walked many precincts in many, many elections. Often, a neighbor will come up to me and ask why I am there. Several times, someone tells me they support the Republican and we go and we leave on decent terms.

NOT THIS TIME!!! Someone came up to me and when I said I was supporting Hillary, she went off on me. Absolute rage and hatred on her face! I have never had a stranger, possibly anyone, show such hatred and rage towards me. I am embarrassed to say that I responded and yelled back until I remembered that the best strategy is to walk away. Although, I did shout down the stairs when I heard her swearing at me.

This election is unlike anything I have ever seen in this country. Trump and the other Republicans have spent decades stirring up this rage. I'm scared for our country.

I continued GOTV because we need to win this!! I refuse to let hatred win.

I then went to see Obama the next day. That was a love fest with smiling, friendly, dancing supporters. Love trumps Hate.

Eh. Half a bong. At most.

cally primitive, you're a moonbat. Do try and keep that fact in front of you as you make your life observations and one day you might actually learn the difference between love and hate.

Bullcorn.  It was likely Cally's belligerence that sent this exchange sideways (if there even was any exchange at all).
Deplorable since 2016

It could not possibly be a Bernie supporter, a Stein supporter or even an anarchist.  ::)  It has to be a Trump supporter even though in her dead cat like bouncy this "someone" never said who they supported.

I just took a driving trip from Ocala, Fl to San Antonio, Texas (my grand daughter is in basic training there) I saw quit a few Trump signs and maybe 5 Hillary signs through that whole trip.

I wore my Trump shirts quite a bit during my trip. I got a lot of pro Trump  comments and discussions. In one grocery store I did get a few sideways glances, not sure how to interpret them.

But never once did anyone get irate at me for my political choice.

I must say that the people in and around San Antonio are so pro military I was humbled by them. My husband wears a Army Veterans hat and they would always thank him for his service.

If I ever decided to leave Florida Texas is where I would go.

Make sure you get here soon. Don't wanna get trapped on the wrong side after #Texit. Although, I'm sure one or two of us will sponsor deserving immigrants from the USA.

I may come down from the PRNY, and a lot of good and decent people up here (conservatives all) would want to come with me.

Well, a long, long time ago, the PRNY let me back in after living in Texas for two years . . . Reciprocity never dies. :whistling:

That just might depend on how this election goes.

Simply amazing.  I have never had someone come up to me and tell me to leave because of my politics. First off I do not spout off about it and make waves.
