I was over at Manny's jackass message board, and appalled by the way Manny's minions are howling with glee over the trials and tribulations of Messalina Agrippina.
We on this side need to be concerned, because their sheer ingratitude is symptomatic of much of what ails contemporary society.
Anyone who was a Democrat, liberal, or primitive prior to 1992 surely remembers what terrible years those were (for Democrats, liberals, and primitives), 1981-1993, as America dug itself out of a depression and went on to enjoy the longest stretch of uninterrupted economic growth in history.
Republicans ruled the roost, while Democrats squatted in the outhouse.
That is, until Messalina Agrippina came along, and after getting her husband elected president, gave the Democrats, liberals, and primitives everything for which they'd dreamed--widespread abortion, dependency-creating social services programs, education replaced by indoctrination, a substantial weakening of national security and defense, overpaid broad-bottomed desk-sitting bureaucrats, and ironclad control of academia, the news media, and popular culture.
As she seemed to have given them everything, one wonders what else she could've given them.
So when she decided to run for president herself, one reasonably assumed the Democrats, liberals, and primitives, all to whom she'd given so much, would unanimously and enthusiastically support her.
That didn't happen, as some decided they wanted even more, and looked towards an old man who promised them more. Never mind that she'd actually given them more; they were seduced by nebulous, uncertain promises of "more" by this ancient con-man.
Well, the wizard of fraudulent promises lost the Democrat nomination to the worthier candidate, and so Manny's jackass primitives went into a snit, from which they haven't seemed to recover.
Well, the lady's now in mortal danger, and needs all the help she can get. It's long past time for Manny's jackass primitives to acknowledge all that she gave them, to evaporate their personal distaste for her, and to step forward to support her.
The sorts of things people with Honor and Principle do.
