Sigh... I think I want to buy a firearm.

But here's the problem. I suffer from bipolar disorder. My wife suffers from borderline personality disorder.

We just moved to a new neighborhood. Stress sets in because of unfamiliarity. We've only met two neighbors so far and they're great! But still, we're in the city now.

Add to this stress the impending stress of our nation becoming as divided as it is. I won't be surprised to expect Trumpers taking up arms in a foolish way. And I fear that if the worst happens and I must barricade our home, we don't want to have only knives and bats.

I guess I'm seeking an opinion. Should we avoid firearms because of our mental issues? Should we let the anxiety subside and rely on other hone security methods?

Thank you for your time.

Golly Carl, the DUmbass could put it's eye out with that pistol.

Here DUmbass, I'll be REALLY helpful, because you know, all of us long-haired conservative types from the SOUTH know ALL about guns and stuff.

Go down to your firearms dealer of choice.
Ask for a GLUCK hyper-automatic pistol. (Gluck is made in the Philippines by Philippino UNION laborers)
You want a TWO INCH barrel (this is important, as it makes the GLUCK hyper-automatic easier to hide in your pants)
The caliber is IMPORTANT!  Insist on a GLUCK that shoots the .338 LAPUA MAGNUM cartridge.  In a two inch barrel, recoil should be manageable.

The sights on your GLUCK are important too...ask for QUASI-CESIUM TRITICALE night sights so you can use your GLUCK in the dark.

See Carl, I was REALLY helpful.
Help keep America beautiful...deface a liberal.

The Democrat and Republican parties are simply the left and right wings of the same bird of prey.

The road to freedom is paved with dead liberals.

Does anyone know what city it lives in?

I ask because most liberal enclaves have very strict laws preventing you from defending yourself from those that would do you harm, but fear not you can always piss or throw up on yourself as a defensive measure.

Without further research, I'd say it's probably Raleigh, NC. He's always lived in and around that area of the State, so maybe he's finally in (or back in) the city or suburbs of the area.

Buy one, and when you test fire it, be sure to watch the bullet come out of the end.  You'll probably have to pull the trigger with your thumb, or you could have the crazy lady do it for you.

Well now, if one's good at using a certain thing, it makes for a formidable weapon.

I wouldn't know what to do with a knife, but with a bat, I'd probably use it in the same manner as I'd use a 1-3/8" S/K adjustable wrench with a 17" handle.

One should always use that with which he's most effective.  For most, I imagine it's a firearm, but for me, I prefer up-close and in-your-face brawling, thus the wrench, which can break more bones than exploding ammunition can.  And if I'm struggling for my life, I fully intend to do as much damage as possible, and to keep doing it even after it's no longer necessary.

In that case, the retrowire primitive should whine and moan to any potential adversary about how the gov't isn't properly protecting him and his spouse from the evils of Trumpers, a divided citizenry, or provides enough free medical care for those with bipolar and borderline personality disorder.

Because if I started hearing that crap, I'd get away as quickly as I could.

When we say the left's goal on gun control is to disarm all citizens of their guns, the left counters with how much they value a person's right to own a gun as long as they are a stable person.  Now this DUmmy openly admits that neither he or his wife are stable and is claiming he wants to own a gun.

Gosh I thought that one of the "common sense" gun laws was to not let mentally unstable people buy guns.

Understandable Coach, being deaf, but I prefer not to let anyone get to within arms reach.  6 feet away, taking 4 rounds of .45 in the upper torso, is my preference.

Okay, okay...... one round might stray high into the cranium.  :whistling:  Recoil, and all.

It's all random chance and accident--in addition to bad luck--but it depends upon the geography of the would-be assailant.

In my individual case, the track record's that I'm most threatened up close, and thus the weapon of choice.

The 'Use the thing you're most effective with' is generally decent advice, but in the case of the DUmmies, the thing they're most effective with is letter to the editor, complaints to various local, state, and federal agencies, boycotts, ballot-box stuffing, and generally whining like children with emotional disorders.  None of those are particularly useful in an emergent situation.

Hmmm... so the dummie and his significant other gonna purchase a firearm. Both are half nuts and have stated such.  Breaking the law is what they are planning to do. Put it on the internet for all to see.  That sounds to me like a prima facie case of conspiracy to illegally obtain a firearm.

Someone needs to inform the FBI.  Maybe someone already did.   :whistling:

Maybe more than one someone should contact the FBI as well.

Do you suppose they will exploit the evil "gun show loophole" since they won't be able to pass the background checks they demanded?
It would give me great pleasure to see video of them going to a gun show, walking up to a table, and asking a dealer just use "the loophole" to sell them a gun. hahahahaha!
I can see some Mr. Clean looking dood carrying them out by the belt straps and dumping them on their faces in a mudhole out back.

If it weren't for the danger to innocent people around them, I'd be all for the DUmmie and his loon wife buying a gun.  Odds are they'd off each other inside of a week arguing over the exact reason the Hildebeast is so awesome.

And I'd recommend they take Carl's advice on their choice of firearm, too. In fact, they should buy two of them, so they each have one. No sense in taking any chances, ya know.
