Is this the year the NRA's back is broken?

The gun lobby, represented by the NRA, has spent an all time record of more than $20 million on ads to support Trump and attack Clinton. Fivethirtyeight.com gives Clinton an 82% chance of winning.

Of the ten Senate races that might tilt the Senate to Dem control the NRA has contributed $42,600 to 6 of them. Of those six only two Republicans are ahead in the polls. The remaining four races are so far gone that the NRA has pulled all spending.

I can't find enough data to predict the House but I can assure you that gun control will NOT be a factor in GOP wins.

This could be the year that the myth of gun rights as a third rail is exploded once and for all.

RIP NRA.

Well since the DUmp predicted it I am thinking the NRA should feel quite secure.

Asked this question at my weekly trivia shindig last fall or this spring.  What industry has grown 70 something% since President Obama too office?  (Exact % I can't recall off hand, but it was accurate)

Gun manufacturing.  Not a single team got it correctly.  And the regulars are not a dumb crowd.

Will admit that even a few of Cankles' ads have been well done.  I'm in a purple swing state, so been subjected to lots of ads for 18 months.

But the NRA ads, IMHO, are outstanding.  I suppose the left are the only ones pissed at them.

Speaking as a non-owner of firearms, but at the same time a staunch friend of the Second Amendment--the gun-grabbers after all want to take away many more things than just guns--I must remind the primitives they're missing an important lesson.

We had prohibition of the manufacture and consumption of alcohol before, to take care of what was kind of a problem.

It didn't; it made the problem worse.

What makes these retarded idiots think this would be any different?

But of course that's not the real reason the primitives favor gun-grabbing.  Really, they're in favor of it because (a) they want to take only the guns of law-abiding decent and civilized people, leaving guns in possession of urban thugs and criminals, and (b) they want to take away all means of self-defense.

Really, that's what they want.  That's why it'd be nice if they dropped dead, all of them, right now.

They labor under the notion that the all powerful government they push for will reward them by taking from defenseless people to give to them.
History has always proved how stupid they are.

Most definitely.

The owner of the LGS to the north of me has bought, free-and-clear with ca$h, a new Ford F-350 every other year of the Obama presidency.  Not a basic one, either.  Top-of-the-line every time.  His wife drives some nice Lincoln iron, as well, IIRC.

If hillary wins I intend to invest in some firearm manufacturers stock. That is a no brainer.  Might do it the day before.

Do it Monday morning.  I'm probably going to put some money into a small Glock (42 or 43), or a Ruger LC9 then.  'Course, .22 LR is always a good investment.

With membership in the millions? Probably not. And if The CHILL wins, NRA membership will swell, along with gun sales.

If they listened to what their Shrew-goddess has said they'd realize this. The CHILL has said that she'd implement "gun control" through executive order. IOW, The CHILL knows she won't be able to get what she wants through Congress.
If The Vaccine is deadly as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, millions now living would have died.

I saw this some where but did not bookmark. just for shits and giggles typed into google. It never autofilled "gallup assault rifle ban."

Good to see our betters are in control.

Grasping at straws again i see.

that part that always cracks me up is that they can't grasp the idea that the NRA isn't a "thing" that they can destroy.
As if somehow dismantling the organization will somehow snuff the idea that most people want a method to defend their person and freedoms.
Maybe they can get a bill passed to outlaw hurricanes while they are at it.
