It's been a while since Obozo announced all the double-digit increases in medical insurance for 2017, and nary a peep from the primitives, either on Skins's island or over on Manny's jackass message board.

Not a word.

And these are people who allege themselves always on top of things.....

Well, one of them finally noticed, before it became stale news.

Obama Administration Confirms Double-digit Premium Hikes
Source: Associated Press

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Premiums will go up sharply next year under President Barack Obama's health care law, and many consumers will be down to just one insurer, the administration confirmed Monday. That will stoke another "Obamacare" controversy days before a presidential election.

Before taxpayer-provided subsidies, premiums for a midlevel benchmark plan will increase an average of 25 percent across the 39 states served by the federally run online market, according to a report from the Department of Health and Human Services. Some states will see much bigger jumps, others less.

Moreover, about 1 in 5 consumers will only have plans from a single insurer to pick from, after major national carriers such as UnitedHealth Group, Humana and Aetna scaled back their roles.

"Consumers will be faced this year with not only big premium increases but also with a declining number of insurers participating, and that will lead to a tumultuous open enrollment period," said Larry Levitt, who tracks the health care law for the nonpartisan Kaiser Family Foundation.

Single payer is the only answer for this. Assuming we take back the Senate (I am looking at 51 to 53 Dems, depending on PA and NC) and gain 15 to 20 or so in the House (not control, unfortunately) there is a 2 year window to get this done. 2018 will probably be a Senate election problem for us, so the chances after that will be grim.

We will have 10 or 11 hard races, all defending seats, many in red or pink states, all in an off year, all in a 3rd consecutive term of Dem POTUS's.

FL Bill Nelson
IN Joe Donnelly
MI Debbie Stabenow (safest of these 11)
MO Claire McCaskill
MT Jon Tester
ND Heidi Heitkamp
NJ Bob Menendez (mainly due to his criminal case, if it is not resolved and he runs still)
PA Bob Casey
VA Tim Kaine (will be another Dem, due to VP)
WI Tammy Baldwin
WV Joe Manchin

then these

NM Martin Heinrich (safe unless Susanna Martinez, who is termed out, runs)
OH Sherrod Brown (safe unless termed out Kasich runs for Senate)

The main Rethug seat we can realistically flip is

NV Dean Heller

Maybe Flake in AZ

The typical primitive reaction:

It takes a special kind of retard to think that those who created the mess are the ones to be trusted to come up with better.

3. How are the subsidies funded?

I'm currently on an obamacare subsidy, and wondered how those subsidies were paid for. With the large rate increases would this reduce the amount of subsidies in the future?

21. We borrow money

There are some new taxes, and penalties if you don't have health insurance, but from 2016-2025, we will borrow 1.2 trillion to pay for obamacare. (per CBO)

Yet your fellow scum sit there and demand more.

Lying douchebag. You aren't borrowing anything. The Federal government is spending money it doesn't have, and that is not borrowing, because it will never be repaid.

1. subsidies will pick up the difference

Translation:  It won't affect me so why should I care?

Listen up dummies.  Perky gonna 'splain it to you.

The number one reason health care costs have gone up for the ordinary folks is because Medicare and Medicaid can dictate what they will pay and the providers have to take it by law.  Providers have to at least break even and Medicare and Medicaid don't pay that much so they make it up elsewhere.  Simple fact.

Anything else you and the dems have to say on the subject is utter bullshit.  End of discussion.  If you think you can refute what I say, get your parasitic ass over here and let me educate you.  I will also educate you on single payer.

Simple fact... goods and services are rationed. Period.  Whether it be by the government or the free market they are rationed. The free market is the best at allocating goods and services. Price goes up due to demand?  More providers get in the game and competition lowers the price.   Put the government in the middle and you got what we have with the price of health care. Take it to the extreme and you have Cuba or North Korea.

The high health care costs can be directly attributed to government meddling.

Tonight on Fox News Special Report the Democrat spokeshole on the discussion panel said, "it won't hurt anyone in the wallet, the additional subsidies will be covered by taxes".

In all honesty, there are two parts of the ACA that I agree with and should be kept.  The pre existing condition clause and staying on your parents policy until age 26.

Some may disagree.  But here are my reasons.  As a cancer survivor, not exactly easy to get health insurance independently on the open market.  Employer insurance covers it regardless, for now.

Secondly, keeping "young 'uns" on their folks insurance does NOT pay into the funding failure of the ACA.  By age 27, one should be able to afford at least a supplemental policy, if not be gainfully employed already.

Liberal thinking is a two-legged stool and magical thinking is one of the legs, the other is a combination of self-loating and misanthropy.  To understand it, you would have to be able to sit on that stool while juggling two elephants, an anvil and a fragmentation grenade, sans pin.

It is going to get much worse as more and more people are dumped into Medicare/caid.

And as doctors start refusing to take Medicare/caid patients or areas of practice that have few Medicare/caid patients.
