HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. - A man is facing felony charges after being accused of making a bomb threat against the Henderson County GOP headquarters. The Hendersonville Police Department said in a news release that the party headquarters received a bomb threat Thursday morning on the organization's voicemail, prompting an evacuation. The State Bureau of Investigation swept the building with a bomb dog and found no explosives.Authorities say they were able to trace the call back to 24-year-old Dylan J. Schacht, of Hendersonville, who was arrested and charged with one count of terrorism and one count of filing a false report concerning a destructive device.

I have only seen that show a couple times but the area is really back woods with a lot of drug activity and a lot of drinking problems.
Further down the thread, it looks like the perp is yet another fruitcake, unaffiliated, but making noises much more consistent with Progs' views than with conservatives'. The DU folk kind of ignored what his views mean as to ideological sympathies, focusing more on his fruitcakiness.

I am genuinely confused as to why he would call if he hates politics. All that I know it was over some flyer from the republican party that was left at his address. We truly don't know how (what was said verbally/no recordings have been released) he communicated the threat other than he left threatening voicemails. But, considering the recent events at the other GOP office that got damaged, the local authorities took any communication of a "bomb" as a threat to the safety of those in that building.
