I made that point to Lea DeLaria, she’s the person in the middle wearing the sunglasses, that aren’t you diminishing women by simply referring to them as vaginas? Her sweet response was how dare a straight white guy tell her about objectifying women or about oppression? She also called me a dick, a bleep and an asshat.
I responded she had no idea whether I was straight, white, or a guy, but using that as an insult indicated how she was still reducing people to vaginas and dicks. Besides, I said, you haven’t even asked me my preferred pronoun.
