Hillary Clinton comments on Bernie Sanders supporters in leaked recording
A leaked audio recording of Hillary Clinton at a February fundraiser shows the Democratic presidential candidate had once painted a wide swath of Bernie Sanders supporters as idealists “new to politics completely†who are “living in their parents’ basement†-- though she stressed at the time the need to understand their frustrations with the economy.
“They’re children of the Great Recession. And they are living in their parents’ basement,†Clinton says in the audio clip, first published by the Washington Free Beacon earlier this week. “They feel that they got their education and the jobs that are available to them are not at all what they envisioned for themselves. And they don’t see much of a future.
“That is a mindset that is really affecting their politics,†she noted, speaking to donors at a private event in McLean, Virginia. “If you’re feeling like you’re consigned to, you know, being a barista, or you know, some other job that doesn’t pay a lot, and doesn’t have much of a ladder of opportunity attached to it, then the idea that maybe -- just maybe -- you could be part of a political revolution is pretty appealing.â€

Who exactly is leaking this stuff and what else are they sitting on?
http://www.democraticunderground.com/12512459632Who exactly is leaking this stuff and what else are they sitting on? This didn't come from some purloined secret internal campaign memo,
Cankles said it at a fundraiser! Most of the primitives are taking the charitable interpretation of the Cankles quotes that she sympathizes with the poor helpless young Bernie bros unable to fend for themselves in Obama's cruel America. The primitive oberliner is upset that the comments were
hacked or
leaked.
Hillary said something stupid and the primitives are looking for a Joe the plumber to pin it on.
If Cankles wants to keep her positions secret she should come up with some kind of classification system--marking confidential positions with a
C, for example.

2. The disturbing part is the idea of "hacked audio"
Who is doing the hacking? And are they going to release anything that is actually damaging later on?
Depends. What else has the stupid old cow been yacking about?

3. Everything she said was true and none of it was disparaging.
But, just wait for the next debate for Trumpy to twist those words.
It was said in kindness. Cankles only wants for the government to take care of all the poor helpless halfwits that are too stupid to take care of themselves.

15. Huh?
There is no negative spin being presented here.
I just don't like the idea that there is someone out there hacking audio and trying to use it to impact the HRC campaign negatively.
The fact that this sort of thing is now considered normal (hacked audio, hacked emails) is pretty chilling.
There with the
hacking again. When hasn't it been considered normal for a candidates statements to be examined/critiqued?

8. Basement?
Yes. I spent time in the basement while I was getting on my feet after college.
He probably suffered the indignity of being forced to wear Timex or Casio watches during those lean years.

10. So she said young college graduates have to move back in with their parents and aren't doing as well
as they want to and that impacts their views. It's not intended as any kind of insult...it's just discussing why one group of supporters are wanting a revolution in politics.
She's just acknowledging the reality of life in Obama's America.

21. The comments themselves seem innocuous
The part that is disturbing is that someone hacked the audio of a private conversation and put it out there in an attempt to impact the campaign.
You're embarrassing yourself with this stupid "hacked" BS.

19. The tragic part is that emails and private conversations can be so easily hacked
And that someone is actively doing so in order to impact this campaign.
From the Colin Powell emails to this leaked audio - it's messed up.
Someone is sabotaging Cankles with this hacking and they're doing it on purpose in order to impact the campaign!

17. The comments seem fine to me
I don't like the idea, though, of people hacking audio from private conversations.
Hacked audio of private conversations? It was a fundraiser, you retard.

18. Nothing wrong with the quotes - but who hacked the audio?
Who or what is behind such hacks? And are they sitting on other things that might actually be damaging?
:face palm:

28. Seems fine to me.
And it's true that many young people who graduate from college with a degree ended up working low paying jobs and live with their parents. Not because they want to or are lazy but because of the lack of economic opportunities. The status quo failed them so it's natural for them to be attracted to a (peaceful) political revolution.
Trying to twist this into saying Hillary was mocking Bernie supporters belongs more in the Creative Speculation group then in GD.
Thanks Obama!
