You want to talk about "Funny"?
Let's compare two different American protests:
1. About 6 years ago, I was part of a Tea Party demonstration near a busy intersection. Although I guarantee we had at least a thousand people there, we stayed peaceful and orderly, and stood along the grassy area between the sidewalk and the road (The demonstrators stretched as far as I could see). That way, our protest would not be a hindrance or blockage to either cars going along the road at the intersection, or pedestrians going along the sidewalk.
2. In contrast, in this current Charlotte protest, crime and violence are rampant, and the rioters aren't just deliberately blocking traffic: THey're also actually physically attacking motorists.
I'd say that drives home the difference between a protest and a riot.
