The RW Christian community sees that they win both ways. With Trump they get religious freedom to discriminate openly and viciously and if Trump causes WWIII they will get THEIR rapture sooner. These religious organizations truly believe in religious rule. They believe that the Constitution was originally a religious document. They claim the founding fathers WERE religiously oriented in the first place.

1.) I remember the MSM claiming Reagan was a warmonger who would cause nuclear war. Didn't happen. Won't happen with Trump.

2.) Evidently TMN is so ignorant of theologically conservative Christians that he believes we all believe in a Dispensationalist, Pre-Millennial, Pre-Tribulation Rapture. Catholics do not. The Orthodox do not. Many Calvinists (e.g. Presbyterians) do not. Many (other) Evangelicals do not.

I wonder whether TMN's ever met and taken the time to understand a theologically conservative Christian. Well, no, I don't wonder.

Christians do NOT want to discriminate against others, especially not "Openly and viciously": They simply seek the freedom to practice the basic teachings of their faith in peace and not have to worry about the government passing oppressive and unconstitutional laws which would force them to act against the dictates of their consciences and/ or the teachings of their faith (i.e. the government making it mandatory that Christian employers must pay for their employees' abortions as part of their health insurance plans).
2. As others here have noted, no Christian denomination (And certainly not the mainstream ones that at least 95% of American Christians belong to) believes that they can in any way influence when the Rapture will come.

We do believe that about the Founding Fathers, because history says that it was indeed the case. One of their main concerns in founding our country was indeed that we be able to worship freely and not have our basic beliefs infringed upon by government beaurocrats or ignorant bigots like TMN.

I don't want to know from what part of his/her torso this nonsense was pulled! Christians have no problem at all with peace, in the sense a lack of war or near-war conflict. In Dispensational eschatology - keep in mind that this is a minority POV, even if defined broadly - The Antichrist is viewed as a false messiah, one who opposes the true God and will set himself up as a substitute Christ ("anti" means both substitute and opposition) to rule the world for his own glory. While it is commonly thought in such circles that The Antichrist will temporarily bring political peace, what is opposed are The Antichrist's efforts to be viewed as a god and his oppressive means to power and governance. In metaphoric (actually, a simile) historical terms, The Antichrist would be like a Hitler or Stalin who succeeded on a global scale, including the murderous oppression of those he hates and perceives as opponents.
