I just saw The Brainwashing of My Dad

Please find a way to see this film. It is just amazing.

I saw it with a group of other Democrats here in Kansas City. It lasts an hour and a half and I hated to leave it long enough to use the restroom.

A young woman's father began listening to Rush Limbaugh and his entire personality changed. Then she began to hear from other people who had experienced the same change with their family members. So she did this film to explore just exactly how this complete metamorphosis took place - from a wonderful, loving fun Dad to a fearful, hateful completely obsessed person.

It is full of interviews with all sorts of experts and media people.

It is wonderful. So please try to see it. It is so worth your time.

What you saw was the horror in his eyes when your dad went from being a brain dead liberal to a sane person that realizes the country is being destroyed before his eyes.

Well, there's that and the eventuality of living longer and paying so much in taxes all while watching the money get flushed and handed out to assholes who demanded you give them free stuff...  it tends to weigh on a person after a couple of decades.... and the longer it goes on, the more pissed off you get.

The meme that right-wing propaganda creates far more political partisan's than left-wing propaganda is laughably absurd.

I've witnessed this very phenomenon in my own family, except ours went from moderate "blue dog" Democrat to unhinged moonbat.  Not quite randys1 or TMN levels, but it's been trending that direction for the last 5 - 10 years.  I figure some of it's related to an aging mind, but most of it's due to spending WAY too much time on left-leaning websites.

Deplorable since 2016

As I posted on another thread, fiction writers create their own world that is consistent with the writer's world view, and write what each character says and does within that fictional world. So this cockumentary has about as much significance as that DU-dude's conservazombie nightmare.

Big NRA hater, too.  I guess when you're immersed in stoopid, it rubs off.

The irony of the thing is that most libs don't really know who their "Dad" actually is.
