So what do we do if Trump wins?
It’s very doubtful that will happen. But it’s possible.

I haven’t yet decided whether I’ll overdose, head for the airport (my passport is up to date), cry and hope I’m just having a bad trip, establish a liberal militia (which seems to be a contradiction in terms and would be useless in any event), or just go to bed and lay there waiting to die.

In no way can I bring myself to believe that there are enough ignorant/bigoted/stupid people in this country to elect Trump. And I don’t think the GOP tactics of denying minority voters access to the polls in many Republican controlled states will be sufficient to beat Hillary.

Nonetheless, it’s something that keeps me up at night, and I’m sure many of you are also losing sleep over this possibility. I can’t wait until the night of Nov. 8th when Hillary Clinton is declared our next president. I can’t wait for that night when we no longer have to live in dread of a fascist American government.

So, what are you doing to cope with the thoughts I’ve expressed here and which I’m virtually certain that many of you share?

Conversely, what are your celebration plans if/when Hillary wins?

If he won, I would get my retirement out of mutual funds and into something that would just sit there, that he couldn't destroy.

Then I would just keep enjoying the company of my husband and dogs hoping we wouldn't have a nuclear holocaust.

I have absolutely NO IDEA what I would do if Donald Trump were elected POTUS other than, maybe, to find a deep, dark hole in the ground to live in for the next 4-8 years and hope that our country is able to survive it mostly intact.

That's why Canada (and really most places) won't take them.  IIRC, you have to have a ready $250,000 to invest in Canada (probably with heavy government involvement) and be absolutely self-sufficient and able to prove it.  I believe they also bar all those with DUI's.  Every four years the DUmmies talk about going to Canada, you'd think they'd look into this stuff. 

They're thinking back into the Vietnam war era, and conflating the election of someone they hate with conscientious objection.  Canada will laugh in your face.  It would be funny to see, though.

Oddly, me and the hubby were having this same chat last week. But it was more along the lines of "What if the country's worst nightmare came to be and the don of cheeto won? What would happen first, a world war or a civil war or would it be the utter collapse of our country then civil war with whats left?"

We both agreed, the don of cheeto would say something dumb, and sarcastic, that he didn't mean. Which would start a war. All the poor and people of any color would be forced to fight it. Sending immigrants out of our country would cease. We would need the labor. Instead of being deported, they would end up in forced labor camps. Not soon there-after a point would come that both Muslims and Mexicans would be rounded up, no matter if they are citizens or not, and also be sent to labor camps. You know the war effort.

Then I reminded my hubby that I along with his kids, would be among the people sent to labor camps as I am half Mexican. He would be ok, he is pure white.


That's a pretty glum future. So we better get out and vote! I don't want to end up in a forced labor camp!

The consequences of this man becoming president are too horrible to contemplate. And that turns my fear to our fellow citizens who may show up at the polls and vote for him. Who could ever have imagined that there was so much bigotry/hatred, and pure unadulterated ignorance among us?
