very weak arguement. very weak post. I recommend it be updated thusly:

SO, I was at the gas station the other day filling up my hybred when this feeper pulls in in his Hummer3. While he is filling up his 30 gallon tank I hear him complain about the $5.37 a gallon he is paying. I chime in with "Since * took over gas has raised 4 dollars and we still don't have a plan." He countered with that if the Democrats would allow offshore drilling the price would drop.
I pointed out that teh offshore oil isn't 'americkan' and big oil just sell it to the Chinese anyway. he started yelling and threatening me, and then a cop jumps out of the bushes and tazered him.
Me and the cop (an immegrant from Ecuador) laughed about it and traded phone numbers. When the guy recovered he agreed he'd been wrong, and said he'd been a life long republican but now he was going to sell his Hummer and buy a bicycle, vote Obama, and marry his pool boy.

I had heard a rumor--don't know how truthful it is--that if the oil comes from the Outer Continental Shelf, it has to, by law, be sold to the US.  As I said, I don't know how truthful it is.  It seems to me that, if it did come from our OCS, it would come to the US to be refined and sold.

Simple.  There is nothing on this planet more clueles and completely out of it's depth than a DUmmie discussing economics.  

I would compare them to a pack of marmosets, but that would be unfair to the marmosets as the marmosets are the best they are ever going to be.  DUmmies could learn but actively refuse knowledge.

This thinking about oil meshes with the little goons thinking about money in general.  They think once a dollar is spent it is either socked away in some CEO's closet safe or it is destroyed.    They are all about "The Circle Of Life" when it comes to the food chain, but they can't grasp the concept of "The Circle Of The Economics".

In case anyone wonders about it,the job I do is directly impacted by the global economy.
I sell parts at an agricultural equipment dealership and have been having a miserable year getting supplied.
Why?..one reason is that the air is so polluted in China that they have shut down manufacturing all around the Olympic site so that it doesn`t kill the participants.

That is what all the global warming nuts refuse to cry about so they can take their dreams of shutting down western culture and shove them up their ass until they address what is going on in China.

If my stepdad went out of business, I think he would probably take the aquarium and exotic fish store down with him.  :-)
