An October Surprise ?
It's looking more and more like there may an "October surprise" in this upcoming election. Who knows if the NYTimes or the Washington Post are sitting on a story and waiting for the appropriate time to drop it? There are still outstanding questions on both candidates.
Will there be a new bombshell in the Clinton emails? Or is there a smoking gun in the files of the Clinton Global Initiative?
Or are there more questions about Donald Trump's tax returns? Or his connections to Chinese and Russian banks? Does he owe them hundreds of millions of dollars?
I will not be surprised to see an "October surprise".
http://www.democraticunderground.com/10028132318A pointless primitive OP that I'll include out of habit, but the real action takes place down in the comments. The NightWatcher primitive makes a joke trying to mock and diminish Messalina's email scandal and misterhighwaisted doesn't get it. Mister Fussy Britches is mad at himself for not getting the knee slapper joke (
sarc), but takes his anger out on the other DUmmies. Won't let it go, keeps mumbling and grumbling all through the thread.

1. Clinton Email Surprise- she was receiving emails from a Nigerian Prince about assisting him
in moving his wealth out of the country.
An accusation has been made against the hive queen. No time to think, instinct forces the worker bee to spring into action.

2. You omitted the full context of the story.
Why the damning statement without the full context?
A link would be helpful. Otherwise your post sounds like a serious attack on the Dem Candidate here in DU.
Thanks
Another primitive chimes in with an animation of the joke sailing over Fussy Britches' head. Then:

9. Then maybe add the sarcasm gif.

23. In speaking
We usually have a snarky tone to go with an ironic remark (the visual equivalent is the SARCASM icon). But not always. Sometimes we deliver a sarcastic statement deadpan (when, for example, it's really, really obvious)
Really,
really obvious. You got that misterhighwasted? He's calling you a fool.

22. I got it.
No sarcasm emoji needed.
A passive-aggressive dig aimed at the fool misterhighwasted.
The OP has been forgotten, another primitive smells blood in the water:

29. Nigerian 419 scams are such common knowledge that no marker is needed.

33. Why are you continuing this conversation? An error in reading a post with no identification as to it
..being a "joke" was made.
Its a non issue with no reason to continue .
So why the need to discuss a non issue. ?
There are far greater subjects to discuss today. Like the well deserved beating Cannova is about to take in Fl.
The usurper will lose for running a crappy campaign based on spite & revenge.
Even Sen Sanders couldn't find a reason to campaign for him.
Says it all.
Have fun!
Misterhighwasted is still steaming about being made to look like a fool and brings up some obscure Cannova in Fl to show that he's as smart as the other primitives and that maybe he knows about something that they don't.

8. You're kidding, right?
This election has been so full of Poe 's Law WTFs, that it's impossible to tell when someone's joking.

11. Correct. It is impossible to tell when someone's joking.
Include the sarcasm gif or A few LOLs.
Keep it simple for misterhighwasted--Cheeto Jesus or Drumpf jokes, for example.

12. A joke THAT obvious probably didn't need one, though.
Most of us are familiar with Nigerian e-mail scams. I thought it was pretty funny. It was you I was concerned about.
What is worse misterhighwasted, being mocked for being a fool or being condescended to?

17. Ya we've all heard the joke, but considering all the damning "jokes"
posted here & intentionally made towards her, its become hard to tell the difference.
Use a gif or a quick LOL.
otherwise it may indeed be taken serious.
I would have appreciated that. Rather than be mocked with a "fool joke gif".
Holy ****.
Sniffs away the tears and slinks off, probably still grumbling.
