On the main page at DUmmieland, Trump threads abound.

It's as if they've forgotten there's something about a convention(?) or something that's going on.

Liberals disgust me. (Now I don't have to remember to put it on each post).

Because only the left goes searching for that which is not there in a desperate attempt to be offended about something.

You are correct. Fun to watch.

Me and the better half saw Trump in Scranton PA  this afternoon. He talked about it a bit and it was sooooo muuuucccchhh fuuuunnnn when he bashed the media. We were sitting about 50 feet from the media when it did it (twice) and their heads hung low.

The very real possibility of having to find ways to avoid saying, "President Trump," come late January, 2017 has them buying Ex-Lax by the case. On the other side of the coin, the D Convention hasn't exactly been unmitigated euphoria. All in all, it's time for :cheersmate: and  !

Apparently Trump, after being asked by the MSM that the leaked/hacked DNC emails were perpetrated by the ruskies made this comment:

"The russians were responsible? Maybe they can find the missing hillary emails" (or words to that effect)

Well this has set off liberals everywhere!!!  Calling for trump to be tried on treason charges.   Hell it was obvious to anyone with half a brain what he was really saying.

This is delicious and I love it.  Trump is hitting hillary and the MSM right in the mouth. Whenever they try to hit him back he winds up getting a boost in the polls.

This is going to be one fun election season and I don't even like Trump.  Damn sure not gonna vote for hillary.

As you probably know, I'm a Mod on another discussion site. All new members there are manually approved, to weed out spamsters. An interesting thing has happened among new members, the past month or two. After months and months of maybe 1 or 2 "real" members a month, suddenly we have been getting several a week. And only 2 or 3 of those have actually posted, so far. There could be other explanations, but one possibility is that some of the new members are trolls registering in advance of a coming troll storm. I would not be surprised to learn that the Cave has had a similar increase in new members who have registered but have not posted.

And yet we can't get Donny to focus on the Dems and more specifically Hillary because Cruz is living free in Trump's noggin.

IMHO, it seems like you're just threadjacking into the same old Cruz schtick.  It's over, for this election cycle anyway, sniping about it now isn't doing anything useful even for the future chances of Cruz, let alone defeating Hitlery.

You're an industrious and hard-working guy, I'm glad to see you posting again.  But you're just wasting your time with all the Cruz vs Trump potshots.  That part is as 'Over' as the Civil War, it's time to deal with the problem at hand, which is to keep Hitlery out of the White House.  If that means taking pleasure in watching an egotistical blowhard who is only situationally-Conservative run rings around the DemonRats after doing the same to the 'Elite' of the GOP, I can play the cards I've been dealt without regret, and I think most of us feel the same way.

Actually I'd be happy if Donny started working about Hillary and not taking pot shots at Cruz. It's like his obsession. Most of the Trump supporters seem incapable of focusing on Hillary cause they are still focused on Cruz.

Trump hasn't run rings around the GOPe hes been co-opted by them. Hes one of them. Hes spending more time courting Communist flag waiving Sanders supporters than he is the base.

I'm afraid the people who have cast their lot with Trump are going to be in for a rude awakening Nov 8th.

Hear, hear - I agree with you 110%.  Anyone that can make a joke at a presser, turn the attention away from hillary, force the DNC to put out a press release that the gathering of her "personal" 30k deleted emails is a matter of "National Security" (instead of them being no big deal) is hardly not focusing on hillary.  The press and the DNC had to react to Trump without him spending a single dime.

Not too shabby...

It wasn't ideological Conservatives that cast their lot with Trump, it was rank-and-file voters.  Turns out they greatly outnumber ideological Conservatives of any one flavor, don't give all that much of a shit about what ideological Conservatives want them to do, and the internal divisions and purity tests of the ideological Conservative factions blew any chance of stopping Trump before he got the upper hand on all of them.

And honestly an awful lot of those ideological Conservatives won't be disappointed at all, because they never supported him anyway, and will take a schadenfreude-like joy in bitching about everything he does.  But that's human weakness, and life in a country that actually has elections.  No, they'll just run around complaining about every perceived deviation from their own dogma for the next four years if Trump does get elected, a dogma to which the candidate and the bulk of the voters never submitted, ultimately to the aid of nobody but the Dems.

From the beginning of this I had said to anyone who would listen that I was happy with either Cruz or Trump.

As a conservative I favored Cruz's outlook over Trump's. However that advantage in my mind that Cruz has over Trump was out weighed by the problems I'm certain that Cruz would face going up against the Democrat machine. An example of this is the question of Cruz's citizenship. Right or wrong the democrats would have bashed Cruz over this with expert after expert claiming he isn't eligible to run.

Trump on the other hand, to give an example, is basically telling the democrats to go pound sand when they insist on him releasing his tax returns. It's a matter that will not make even a 1 vote difference and we all know that if Trump does decide to release that information it will be in conjunction with the Clinton's releasing something far more damaging to her than to him. What makes Trump such a good candidate for our side is that he fights back harder than the democrats. They lob spitballs, Trump lobs mortars.

Having said all that sorry your disappointed, I think I understand where your coming from.

My take on this is we know what we are gonna get with a hillary presidency... obumbles 2.0.  I'll take my chances with Trump. At the very worst we get another NYC liberal, at best he does what he said and I'm guessing he will probably fall somewhere in between.  I am fairly certain he won't nominate some liberal commie to the supreme court when the time comes.

I damn sure know I ain't voting for hillary.

Hillary is a known quantity, everything that is said about Trump is prefaced with "probably", "might", "could".  I will say this about Trump, I'm positive he loves this country - which is more than I can say for the democrat nominee.

Sarges point is a bit valid as Trump is the nominee and he needs to get a focus and strategy.
I know there was always the "let Reagan be Reagan" mantra and understand that while I am not at this point comparing the two Trump needs to be Trump as that is his appeal.
That being said he needs to keep sticking his thumb in Shillarys eye and shrug off those in DC that don`t want him.
I say this as a person that desperately hoped Cruz would get the nod but he did not.

My main problem with Trump is that I am not sure he will be all that conservative if elected.
However at least there is a chance.
