Great News .. The Leaves Win! ‘Brexit’
« on: June 23, 2016, 11:26:31 PM »
Sky news and the BBC just declared victory for Brexit!
We are witnessing history.

Break out the Champagne! Brits want to survive after all!

London couldn’t pull it out. Cameron is done for.
The elites and establishment on both sides lost.
They’re stunned!!

Obama and Hillary are saddened!
Immigration concerns was cited as one of the causes of leaving.
Quote
The Leave camp is led by Michael Gove, the justice minister, and Boris Johnson, the former mayor of London.
Nearly half the Conservative members of Parliament favor leaving, as do the members of the U.K. Independence Party, or UKIP, and its leader, Nigel Farage.

Their main issues are sovereignty and immigration.

The One World Government freight train just jumped the tracks.

"Brexit" is spread over a two-year period.  Maybe the UK isn't as corrupt as DC... maybe.

We'll see if they don't try to change the rules.  Barack Obama is no David Cameron.

David Cameron resigns after EU referendum result

Here is the key quote from Cameron, where he announces his resignation.

Quote
I was absolutely clear [in the referendum] about my belief that Britain is stronger, safer and better off inside the European Union. And I made clear the referendum was about this and this alone, not the future of any single politician, including myself.

But the British people have made a very clear decision to take a different path and as such I think the country requires fresh leadership to take it in this direction.

I will do everthing I can as prime minister to steady the ship over the coming weeks and months. But I do not think it would be right for me to try to be the captain that steers our country to its next destination.

This is not a decision I have taken lightly. But I do believe it’s in the national interest to have a period of stability and then the new leadership required.

There is no need for a precise timetable today. But in my view we should aim to have a new prime minister in place by the start of the Conservative party conference in October.

Some of the reasons why Brexit won are similar to America's reasons Trump is the republican candidate;

Quote
They’re coming for our kettles and they’ve got their eyes on our toasters. Those faceless EU bureaucrats will stop at nothing to see our lawnmowers reined in and our hairdryers tamed, our milk bottles outlawed and our Sunday roasts served undercooked.

(break)

“My toaster takes four attempts before bread goes brown,” tweeted the furious Ukip MEP David Coburn earlier this year. “Many thanks to EU.” He lated added: “My old toaster seemed to be powered by the Torness nuclear reactor ... this one is powered by some kind of EU windmill.”

Coburn’s outpouring came in response to the European Commission’s Ecodesign scheme, an initiative aimed at improving the environmental performance of products sold across the EU.

https://www.theguardian.com/artanddesign/architecture-design-blog/2016/jun/21/eu-refrendum-british-traditions-under-threat-brexit-leave-remain

The EU is a dictatorship over European Countries run by faceless bureaucrats making insane leftist rules.

This sounds all too familiar to America, leftist bureaucrats making insane rules looking more like a dictatorship overseen by Obama and Hillary types.

Brits decided to leave the large, centralized European government and go back to declaring their sovereignty in matters of financial/monetary policy and immigration.
They voted for BORDERS. They voted to take their country back from the European elites and the know-nothings calling the shots in Brussels.

The EU was in trouble the moment they took in smaller, weaker economies such as Greece and allowed them to share their currency. It has become worse over the last few years with the rise of terror.

Labor threw open the doors to mass migration in a deliberate policy to change the social make-up of the UK.
The number of foreigners allowed in the UK increased by as much as 50 per cent in 2000.

Andrew Neather, a former government adviser and speech writer for Tony Blair, Jack Straw and David Blunkett, said the aim of Labour’s immigration strategy was to ‘rub the Right’s nose in diversity and render their arguments out of date’.

This was a Population replacement policy, to destroy nation states, and bring about an all powerful EU ruling over all of Europe.

Leaders of the major European countries, are following suicidal policies of mass uncontrolled Islamic immigration.

Scrutinize the footage (video of the refuges) and the majority are men in their prime, none looking undernourished, frail or traumatized.
The Arab spring in reality has been an Arab winter which is now being used to change Europe.

Let's be honest, everything the left reviles about the world (from capitalism to Western militarism to white racism; Judaism and Christianity) could be erased from the inside by reducing white majorities, creating a majority ethnic minority voting block and making Islam the dominant religion of the UK, the U.S. and all of Europe.

Not only eliminating the West as we know it but isolating and hobbling the US by transforming her natural allies into, essentially hostile political entities.

Today, Germany runs the EU with France as its lickspittle.
The German controlled EU extends to the Russian borders & the UK is subservient to Germany/EU.

A few months ago the UK paid the millions of pounds that the EU had demanded in extra Danegeld.

Last year Cameron announced that we would not pay these extra demands under any circumstances.
He has now had to pay more than the original demand - presumably interest or a fine for being nasty to the Germans.

Will it be a rocky road? Yes.
But in the mid to long run it will work out for them.

Borders/Sovereignty Matter!

(Just my take on things)

It's been really interesting listening to some of the civilians I work with (U.S. citizens) siding with the Remain supporters.  They're hand wringing like the rest of them.  ::)

I won't claim anything on the same planet as a thorough knowledge of the issue, but it looked to me like the benefit of staying was low trade barriers, while the benefits of leaving would be not being forced to bail out dead-beat nations like Greece and not having a government and regulocracy that include officials who HATE and envy the UK jamming regulations and laws down Britons' and Northern Irelanders' throats.

Brexit wasn't a full-on rejection of big government, but it could be said that it was close to, "No regulation without representation."

So it took the Brits almost exactly 240 years to come to the same conclusion we stated as a fledgling country in 1776 . . . Better late than never, I suppose.

Sort of. Britons suffered through the same - and maybe worse - taxation and mercantilism against which American colonists rebelled, but the taxation and mercantilism were imposed by a House of Commons Britons elected and a House of Lords whose member lived among them. IOW, 18th Century Britons were represented in Parliament.

FWIW, the taxation was imposed to pay down British debt from the Seven Years War (French and Indian War, in the colonies). Parliament "saw" Britain as having protected the colonists, but not colonists' having defended themselves. OTOH, the colonists "saw" the French and Indian War as an extension of a larger European war - one in a series of several - to protect and extend British power. IOW, that the Seven Years War did not benefit them but, without being consulted, were being forced to help pay for that war.
If The Vaccine is deadly as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, millions now living would have died.

Save for the currency the EU had pretty much wrapped their tentacles around every aspect of British life...same pretty much for every EU country.

Imagine that on top of the onerous burden of laws and regulations put on us by our own federal government...there was a layer of government and the accompanying bureaucracy above that.

That is what it's like in Europe with the EU.

And I will add its worse to an extent for those countries that have adopted the Euro.
