Drudge has a headline saying, SHOOTER PLEDGED ALLEGIANCE TO ISIS just below a picture of the shooter.  Also, in a press conference at around 9:45, I did hear the LEO at the microphone say that the rifle was an AR-style weapon.

The Palm Beach Post reports that he worked for G4S. The global security firm G4S, with offices in Jupiter, has confirmed that Orlando shooter Omar Mateen has worked for the company since 2007.

First, Mateen had no criminal record. IOW she didn't report him. I'm not criticizing, just putting her comment in perspective. She may have been entirely correct - about the beatings, about his stability - but it wasn't piblic record.

Second, if he did beat her, that is permitted per Surah 4:34 of the Qur'an.

As for the father's statement, he's not going to say here in the US in English that Islam was the motivation; he might even be smart enough not to say it in his native language while here in the US. But in Afghanistan, in Pashto or Dari ...

Well then...can we use liberal logic and say that if a confederate flag caused the shootings at the church in South Carolina, then these gay men kissing are the cause of these 50 deaths in Orlando.???

I'm also unable to work up any sympathy. Islamic militants have made it clear who they are and what they want to do. We conservatives have been telling the libs that these militants weren't fooling around and they'll try to do what they say they're going to do unless we nip this in the bud now. Instead, libs pointed their fingers at us and called us alarmists and haters.

Just watched the local news. Apparently the one gay bar in town is going to have a vigil tonight, they found a couple of patrons in the parking lot and they are singing the same old song about how hated they are and they have no idea why this shooting happened. Really? You have no idea. Either they found the dumbest poof they could find in the parking lot or of course the gays (the ones here at least) prefer to play stupid.

They know exactly why it happened. They just don't want to acknowledge a problem they've seen on the news across the world is now in their lap.
