  • Not right, but not left, either.
Yeah, that was a big mistake on Methuselah's part, and you know why he made it.

New Jersey's dull and grey and industrial, no fun at all.  North Dakota and South Dakota are flat and dreary, no fun at all.  Montana's too sparse, no fun at all.  New Mexico's run down, no fun at all.

The glamour state has surfing.  And that's fun.

His whole campaign seems like the only thing propelling it is his desire to be on a huge freeloading vacation.

WTF?

Methuselah carried North Dakota?

You gotta be kidding me.

Now, those numbers for North Dakota have to be specious.

It says 60% of the votes are in and counted.

It says Messalina Agrippina got 62 votes, and Methuselah 151.

Now, granted, North Dakota's a pretty small state, but it's surely got more than about 250 Democrats, total.  At least a thousand.

No way.

Now with 77% of all the votes in and counted in North Dakota, Messalina Agrippina has 82 and Methuselah 199.

True, North Dakota's rather sparsely populated, but it's not Mars.

Either the percentage is wrong, or the numbers are.

Okay, I'm calling it a night; I have a big day tomorrow, damn it.

I got a telephone message from the physician in the big city today, reminding me that I’m supposed to make an appointment to come in “soon” so that the details of all the tests I took can be discussed…..and also to get the cardiac prescriptions changed to something more suitable, as the current ones are causing problems.

Okay, but I’m really tired of always going in to see a medical professional.

Just really tired.

From the time I moved up here to the edge of the Sandhills in August 2001 until the esophagus exploded in August 2009, I had to go see a physician exactly two times, which seems about “average” for the preceding thirty years too.

Well, those happy days are long gone.

The visits to the physical therapist have been cut from three times a week to just once, but that still seems irksome.  She’s a very nice person, and competent too; a younger thin woman in her early 30s with dark brown hair, lily-white skin, an aquiline nose, and long slender fingers—pretty much the height of aesthetics, I think—but lately I’ve been looking at her as a chore.

Because the pharmaceuticals were determined to be all wrong for me, last week I tried an experiment.  It’s not the sort of experiment that’s recommended, and I suppose under certain circumstances it could be dangerous, but because I’m pretty careful and watch for things, I tried it.

I take three drugs, all of them for the heart.  One of them I take once a day, another two times a day, and a third once a day.  So two of them every twelve hours.

One’s not supposed to do this, and I fully understand why, but I decided I’d try to find out what happens if I were to cease taking them altogether.  It wasn’t as if I was going to kill myself; if there was the least slightest indication it was a mistake, I’d immediately resume taking them.

Trust me; if something goes awry with the heart, I’d probably sense it before an EKG would.

So I went 40 hours without taking the main cardiac pill, and 28 hours without taking either of the other two.  At the end of that time, when I resumed taking them again, I found my blood pressure to be 142/74 and heart-beat rate to be 67 (!)  To me, those seem pretty good readings.

And without medications.  However, I’m not a medical professional, and of course there’s a lot more else going on than just the blood pressure and heart-beat.  So I resumed taking the pills, but will inquire during my next appointment if perhaps these dosages could be lowered, even though right at the moment they’re pretty much “baby aspirin.”  I dunno, but I thought it was interesting.

Hot diggety damn.  It's 8:15 in the morning, and I just learned.

Damn.

Of course, I personally don't care that the supporters of Messalina Agrippina got their candidate on top, or that decent and civilized people (including franksolich) can look forward to several months of being amused and entertained by the bitter acrimonious infighting among the Democrats, liberals, and primitives--those things are nice, but they're only gravy.

What I care about is that the proud, the vain, the arrogant, the pompous, the selfish, the greedy, the uncaring, the conceited, the know-it-alls, the intolerants, the effete snobs, were brought down.

Oh joy, joy, joy.....life is good, God is good.

This is one of the many reasons it was important that the Bernie bullies be crushed; humiliated.

This sort of conduct has no place in a civilized society.

AP warns reporters to be safe after harassment from Sanders fans

The Associated Press is warning its reporters to stay vigilant after several received harassing messages from supporters of Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders.

Danny Spriggs, the AP's vice president for global security, said some reporters have received angry emails, social media messages and phone calls after the AP declared Hillary Clinton the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee.....

Quote
.....The AP on Monday declared Clinton the Democratic nominee, saying she had enough pledged delegates and superdelegate support to reach the party's threshold for the nomination.

Their call angered Sanders supporters, who — along with Sanders himself — argue that superdelegates shouldn't be included in the delegate count because they don't officially vote until the Democratic National Convention in July.....

By the way, the elected delegates shouldn't be included in the delegate count too because they don't officially vote until the Democrat National Convention in July.

<<<wonders if the Bernie bullies ever thought about that.

Quote
.....The AP defended its decision to call for race for Clinton, calling the process "painstaking but very straightforward."

"By Monday evening, 571 superdelegates had told us unequivocally that they intend to vote for Clinton at the convention. Adding that number to the delegates awarded to Clinton in primary and caucus voting to date gave her the number needed to be the presumptive nominee," Executive Editor Kathleen Carroll said in a statement.

"That is news
, and reporting the news is what we do."

On a side note: The Hillary campaign may have conspired with the AP to tip the voting on Tuesday by calling it for Hillary on Monday.

Hillary's camp had a neat and handy chart all laid out for the announcement of her coronation. Of course, the strange thing is, they had the chart done three days before the AP made their announcement, with the exact same numbers the AP released.

Coincidence or collusion? With Hillary, there is no coincidence. The AP did the survey at the behest of Clinton, gave her the numbers and then sat on it until the eve before the election.  By then, Bernie had no time to mount a counter defense.

The Bernouts are pissed, too.  Not on the island, but other places across the Net.  Will they stay home or vote for Trump in protest?  Some will.  How many remains to be seen.

I first read about the Hillary/AP collusion on a liberal site. Bernie supporters have a right to be pissed at Clinton.
