Oh my.

One hopes these primitives are light-weight, given the thin ice they're trodding on.

Skinner: We've got a whole new system lined up and ready to go...

"partisan jerks" and "everyone else" ? Wow.

Skinner (61,800 posts)
We've got a whole new system lined up and ready to go...

...along with very clear rules that apply to everyone. And we are going to insist that everyone follow our rules.

I could stop this crap right now if we went live with the new system right now. But I'm not going to do that. I'm going to wait until the primaries are over. Why am I going to do that? Because I'm not an idiot.

If I unveil a new, strict system of rules and enforcement RIGHT NOW, what is going to happen? All the partisan jerks are going to lose their shit, and they're going to claim that the whole thing is a politically motivated ploy by the biased DU Administrators in order to crack down on their favored candidate. And you know what? Everyone else is going to believe it because they are primed to believe every stupid self-serving thing that fits the narrative that their side is being oppressed by me.

Surely people wouldn't believe that, would they?

Of course they would! Read some of the stuff that people have been saying about me for the last year and a half. People have lost their freaking minds, and their humanity.

2. I do think that Skinner-David Allen is receiving a fee from the Clinton Campaign

I mean, they are dishing cash in every direction to anybody who will say something nice about them ... Katy Perry payments come to mind ...

The truth is - David Allen now supports the establishment, as it stands ...

It's his opinion ... It's his website .. It's his right to do with it as he pleases ..

But let's face it, here and now ... This is not Democratic Underground .. It is Democratic Establishment ... From the top down ...

I came here for a reason .. to elect NOT JUST ANY DEMOCRAT, but the FDR Democrats who fueled the whole middle class experiment that was a rousing success back in the day ...

Now? ... We are supporting the 'moderate' Democrat who has rejected those core principles that FDR and the New Deal Democrats introduced? ... To our long term detriment? ... No ****ing way ...

When it comes to 'new' Democrats ... I would just as soon remain in the 'Underground', thanks ...

I thank David, David and Brian for the great ride, but, the worm has turned, obviously, and a separation is in order ... I will support FDR Democrats .. I will not support republican democrats anymore ...

If they don't exist anymore, then we will need to find them ... We will need to cultivate them ... Bernie has shown how to obtain the resources a candidate needs to run a successful campaign by relying on decent, regular citizens to fund their own dreams ...it is a model for future progressive candidates to draw from ...

Bernie lit the fire ... It isn't going out anytime soon ...

Can you say, 'Millennial'? ... I knew you could ...

3. Well said.

This is an establishment site.

Republican policies are justified by simply adding a D to a politicians name. I'm now convinced that if Bush and Cheney had been Democrats many here would have found ways to say their administration was awesome in every way.

9. Everyone has a price. Even their souls are for sale. Sad.

Not so much for the owners of this site - kudos for getting the $$$ I guess...

It's pretty obvious to anyone paying attention. This site is now an arm of the 3rd way democratic machine.

It's the obviously paid posters I can't wrap my head around...

For what amount of money can you sell your principles? Do they not think about the future? Just that little paycheck is all that matters for supporting the status quo? Is it worth it?

I don't think so...

Yeah, everybody has his price, including especially the Bernie bullies, the gimme crowd, who can be bought by shiny brass masquerading as dull gold.

<<<has pretty high price; in fact one of the highest-priced products on the market.

6. Methinks Skinner has been at the helm too long

Just like the politicians who stay too long in congress and begin to think they are god's gift to humanity. What the hell did he think was going to happen when he came out so strongly for a divisive figure like HRC? Did he truly think he was going to be treated with deference and kindness by all? Hasn't he been paying attention to how political discourse has been going in this country? He sounds a bit Trump-ian, if you ask me.

10. Sigh. The Admins are admitted Hillary supporters so yeah, there's no other interpretation

politically motivated ploy by the biased DU Administrators in order to crack down on their favored candidate

People know the Admins are "biased" towards Hillary so they're really signalling that the crackdown will be mostly on us Bernie supporters.

I don't know how else to interpret that...

Well, yeah, the primitive's interpreting that correctly, exactly correctly.

But what are the Bernie bullies to do, other than utterly and humbly acquiesce?

Unfortunately for the Bernie bullies, Skins's island is where it's at, the place to be, where the cool people hang out.  There's been--and still are--offshoots of Skins's island, but they've never lasted long.  Everybody inevitably goes back to Skins's island, where it's at.

So the Bernie bullies better learn to grovel, and to grovel good.

$kimmer has been there too long?  He owns the damn place, or his wife does in her testicle lockbox.  They rake in tons of money from you gullible liberals.

There is a lesson in that, for you socialist DUmmies.  If you were smart or coherent enough to understand it.

Heh! Dummie just described the dummies to a T.  As long as the politician has a D next to their name they can do no wrong.
