"Rome was not built in a day".

And neither is a political movement. It would be sad to see the movement, that has been started by Bernie Sanders, disappear like smoke. In my opinion, that is the direction it is headed with the present campaign tactics and propaganda.

Instead of building a wall around what has already been built, it is time to open the doors and let more people into the movement. It is doubtful that Bernie will be running again four years from now. What happens then?

Hillary is not the only candidate that will need to consolidate her supporters if she is the nominee. Bernie will have the same problem. It is time for him to realize that fact.

If he wins California and happens to win the nomination, which is a very, very long shot, then he will need all the help he can get from Democrats and Independents that are not on his bandwagon at this time. It was wrong for him to criticize Hillary Clinton, the one time that Donald Trump was called to task. It was not classy, in my opinion.

If Bernie supporters wish to live another day, after this election, they need to start thinking like there is a tomorrow. There is a chance that Bernie may lose the nomination. What then? Do we continue to build the movement or do we pout in the corner and attack Hillary as the right-wing slips into the White House. It's time for some adult thinking, in my opinion.

Time for adult thinking? At the DUmp?  :rotf:

So who are you going to farm it out to?

The Communist movement was started decades ago. Sanders is just a hanger on.

Either kentuck is a young twerp or getting, ummmmm, forgetful. The Bern is just refried George McGovern (who, in 1972, proposed a 100% inheritance tax on estates greater than $50K - which even then would have wiped out most family farms).

Well said and oh so true.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

IIRC, Kentuck is a 50ish "dude".  Tends to write pseudo intellectual prose.  Apparently aspires to be Wee Willie Pitt.  In all honesty, Kentuck writes better than the Pitt-Stain.

Judging from those pix, I'd guess he's a 70-something sourpuss. I wonder how much "practice" it took to acquire that naturally turned down mouth (i.e. inverted smile).
