Trumpbot Carson announces that Cruz might be VP pick.

Ben Carson says Donald Trump’s list of possible running mates includes some awfully familiar names for anyone who’s followed the 2016 presidential race: New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, Ohio Gov. John Kasich, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

“Those are all people on our list,” Carson told the Washington Post.

The retired neurosurgeon, who endorsed Trump after dropping his own presidential bid, said that while he’s a member of the presumptive Republican nominee’s vice presidential search committee, he has no interest in being considered himself.

Carson “understands he’s a lightning rod for controversy,” the newspaper reported, “and Trump doesn’t need help sparking fires.”

But just last week, one of those people on Trump’s shortlist — Palin — said that she doesn’t want to a “burden” for Trump, either.

I keep hearing that anyone that supports Trump is a "Trumpbot" so I assume this includes Dr. Carson.

Seeing how Trump spent last month calling him a liar, I doubt Ted Cruz would be or accept a VP slot.

Most likely---Chris Christie.
Long Shot---Jeff Sessions.

The VP usually has something to do with bringing in votes or voting blocs, I'm not sure Christie does anything for him on that score.  Ya never know, though.  A Hispanic like Cruz or Rubio would make a lot of sense, Cruz an olive branch to the far Right, Rubio an olive branch to the Party and probably able to make the electorally-crucial Florida a lock.  As much flaming as went back and forth between them, I'd be pretty surprised to see him pick Cruz (And Cruz accept), though.

I think that you're right.  Maybe Susanna Martinez . . . That pick would get a competent Hispanic woman on the ticket.

How hard can it be to find someone willing to go down in a flaming heap come November just to have their name on some history book as VP pick? Quite the tradeoff...
