John Boyega, James McAvoy and Sir Ben Kingsley are among an all-star cast set to provide voices in a new adaptation of Watership Down.

The four-part CGI animated mini-series will bring an original interpretation to Richard Adams' classic 1972 novel.

It tells the story of a band of rabbits in search of a new home after the destruction of their warren.

Why a remake of Watership Down??????????? 

This is the sign of humanity's doom! Watership Down should be banned along with anything that puts sodomite rabbits/hares in positive light!

From the BBC, wonder how they will intertwine some homosexual character being beat down by the cruel Christian majority system into the mix. BBC always somehow manages to portray the communist in some sort of glowing light.

I do remember one thing positively about the story, the song by Art Garfunkel (Bright Eyes) was hauntingly beautiful. The rest of the film is sorta a haze, all I remember was it was too dark for a kid's tale.

I thought it was Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds, where they rally their avian brethren to attack humans.
