That is surprising that Ted Cruz suspended his campaign.

Did he release his delegates or is he waiting on a GOPe trick at the convention?

I'm voting for the guy with the boot on his head.  At this point, he seems to be the most rational person running.

First I'm not nor have I ever been one of those "true Conservative" clowns. You know better. Or at least you USED to know that.

I wanted the candidate who best represents the country's values.

Now we get two candidates who don't.

We get a potential felon and a conspiracy theorist.

And you have the gall to say I want to watch the country burn?

You're pathetic.

And I would have gladly voted for Cruz  if he had won, but please tell me again how I am the traitor to the party and country. You really want to live through eight more democrat years?

So, so long CC, guess I'm not welcome anymore... but look back at the posts and see who the fanatics are.

With Trump OR Clinton we get 8 more years of Democrat policies. The fact a smart guy like you totally misses that is sad.

That's funny, considering one of the biggest GOPe politicians endorsed Trump.

I'm amazed that he did the right thing.  Maybe he'll have a future in the party.  He can run after Trump's 8 years, he's still young...He just needs to stop the preaching and he might have another shot.

While we've all been focused on the bloviating orange (bleep)...Mitch McConnell has been running around using the money he raises to defeat Conservative candidates or fund primary challengers.

The McConnell backed candidate for Senate from Indiana beat the TEA Party Conservative for the GOP nomination last night.

It appears that Jim Bridenstine in Oklahoma is going to be primaried.  And there's a threat that Mike Lee will as well.

I'd bet that David Dewhurst will take another run at Cruz as well.

The message will go out and it will be loud and clear...Conservatives will get in line and obey the Speaker and Majority Leader in Congress...or else.

Trump being the nominee will embolden the likes of McConnell ($60K donation from Trump in 2014) to eliminate any chance of the Freedom Caucasus increasing in size of influence and motivate the RINO's to get rid of what THEY believe is the REAL enemy...the TEA Party.

It's payback time for the GOPe and they are going to collect scalps.

Hope you Trumpbots are happy.

Bitch slapped for being a dumbass and even typing a goodbye post.

I'm voting for Trump now, as I believe Tx said he was many months ago if he won the nomination.  He still hasn't acquired the 1237 delegates.

LOL  This whole conversation is completely pointless. ANY vote this year is a vote for Pants Suit Rodham.
A big stinking thank you to the Trumpkin idiots that voted against 16 other actual republicans, (some of them I would have had to hold my nose) and who instead voted for the orange blowhard, a man who isn't a conservative, a "moderate" or even an elite repub, but literally the biggest freaking RINO you could have possibly picked. A true jackass in elephant's clothing. I got to hand it to the Dems, we would have never thought to sabotage their party and their campaign with an undercover republican. You have to really laugh about this year to keep from crying.

The only silver lining that will come of this is the dying breath of the GOP. Time for a new party.

Starting to look like the dump around here!
"Liberalism is an essentially feminine, submissive world view. Perhaps a better adjective than feminine is infantile. It is the world view of men who do not have the moral toughness, the spiritual strength to stand up and do single combat with life, who cannot adjust to the reality that the world is not a huge, pink-and-blue, padded nursery in which the lions lie down with the lambs and everyone lives happily ever after."

Rob he's not leaving because he was asked to.  He's leaving because he can't handle everyone not agreeing with him and wants to pout when his idolatry to Trump is challenged.

No one is forcing him to go.  No one should force him to stay.

Yup, which is why I'm ignoring all of the one trick ponies that are flogging the expired equine regarding Trump. Makes for a much better experience.

I would vote for who ever the nominee would of been. Trump had been the front runner for a long time, other candidates tried a few tricks, but all that did was help Trump.

It will be interesting to see what choices Trump makes as our President. I'm pretty sure he will seat Cruz on the Supreme Court.

Yeah, instead of #NeverTrump contingent on Twitter we have the #OnlyCruz contingent and the inevitable  whinging that goes along with it.

My favorite posts are the ones were a Cruz acolyte will say to a Trump supporter, "You shouldn't say that about people you will need for the general election," but all the while they have been saying worse about the Trump supporters, apparently oblivious to the fact that they would need those people if Cruz did manage to snag the nomination.

Irrationality doesn't belong to one side or the other. It is just always hardest to see when looking in the mirror.
