The crazy bald dwarf is pissed that news coverage was all-Prince-all-the-time. Complaining about Prince, she gradually attracts her biggest bully swarm in ages, starring none other than poor stupid Pam Dawson.
It turns into a great bloody free-for-all, with Pam even bringing up nadin's canned milk episode with the sub captain, and her dead parrot!

Ah that tinfoil fits nice... media fixation... Prince
every time we have a major media MY GOD, cannot walk and talk at the same time, aka fixation on a story... I always ask... so what else is going on in the world they are not telling us? (I love my foreign feeds for some of this)
Obama is in the UK, and had a press conference with PM Cameron, where he warned the Brits to stay within the EU... would be best for them...
Trump is already moving to GE mode... there was a meeting this morning with GOP brass in Florida... to be fair CNN has been treating this as a story we mention in passing.
The world is on the way to have the hottest year since records and we might have crossed the 2 degree centigrade mark... yes this could and will reinforce reverse loops. I am thinking permafrost by the way.
...
Of all of these, that one about climate change is critical for planetary survival. Nothing much after all.
Happy earth day.
Is that tin foil matching my complexion? I never know.

29. My more cynical side
it is very cheap to produce.
By the way, I get it, local news... good local boy makes good, dies, sure. I am betting there national and some foreign (entertainment) outlets.

35. I had CNN on as background all day
hopping they would break away from the trance... not such luck.
Someday historians will have fun writing of the rise and fall of the ro... er American empire, and our decadence.

Poor stupid Pam kicks off the festivities:

51. And for some reason it still chaps your hide, that we actually RUN A PAPER
as small as it is.
And we cover NEWS.
Question oh all seeing one, What are the requirements to cover a major candidate political rally? Well CREDENTIALS. Mine are up to date with the county, are yours?

52. I'm really curious.....
if you ever proof read a post or anything else you write, for that matter.
Just curious.
nadinbrzezinski (149,947 posts)
53. Ah nice attack
Star Member A HERETIC I AM (15,675 posts)
54. Madam, it's not an attack!
It's a question, OK?
I am not suggesting your information is wrong, nor am I attacking you personally.
But I do question your writing style, as someone who calls herself a "Journalist". I understand English may not be your primary language, but if you were to read what you write before you post you may often find your syntax needs work.

55. Three spell flames in ten minutes
must be a talking point, or just coincidence.
At this pint I take DU very seriously, really, when it comes to this shit
Star Member A HERETIC I AM (15,675 posts)
56. I can tell you one thing, young lady.....
You are entirely too THIN SKINNED.
I did not comment on a spelling error. I commented on your apparent lack of proofreading.
I don't think it is out of the ordinary, nor is it unreasonable to suggest - I am MERELY suggesting - that you, as someone who touts their "credentials" as a journalist, actually do one of the most basic procedures before publishing.
Star Member A HERETIC I AM (15,675 posts)
60. This is another of your well known characteristics.
You just can't take criticism of any kind. You reject it out of hand, and instead of taking it in the spirit in which it is intended (to hopefully make you a better writer, or at least more careful) you insist I am bullying you.
The last time you and I had an exchange was at least a couple years ago, when you answered a question about the term "Risk Free Rate" regarding investing. When I asked you to tell me what that was, you couldn't do it and when I asked you to explain a Treasury rate quote that you had brought up, instead of simply saying "I am not familiar with that" or "I am not sure how that works" you insisted you had the answer and were completely and utterly wrong! When I pointed that out to you, you essentially threw your hands up in the air, deleted all your posts in the sub-thread and buggered off, saying I was "brutal".

86. very thin
sad really
MindPilot (12,158 posts)
Fact is Nadin, that especially in the context of your self-proclaimed journalistic prowess, your writing would make an English teacher cringe. Not an attack, just some--hopefully constructive--criticism.
demtenjeep (23,082 posts)
62. i have seen the blog
take a picture of the paper with the current date and your picture then i can believe
if you do run a real paper, i have offered to proof it for you
Star Member mr blur (7,613 posts)
64. What on Earth is the matter with you?!
You seem to be in danger of losing the plot. Perhaps you need to take a deep breath and dial back on the paranoia level. No-one is bullying you. One would have thought that a journalist would have a thicker skin.
demtenjeep (23,082 posts)
68. again. a blog is not a paper
to me a respected journalist should have a source in the written form that one can pick up and read and smell and turn pages.
demtenjeep (23,082 posts)
73. not discrediting anything at all but a paper is different than a hobby blog
and that is all
a paper is something tangible that you can hold, smell, turn pages
anything else is a blog
demtenjeep (23,082 posts)
95. still don't think it would be the same as a true paper
the blog is just a collections of one person's point of view of what that one person deems is news worthy like blades from wind farms bouncing miles away, or once a list of eating better that i had read on a former food blog passed off as a new rsd informational interest...
or who could forget about all that canned milk to be needed
demtenjeep (23,082 posts)
how is your baby bird- bet it is missing its sibling. hope you are doing okay. have you picked out a new one
Whoa! Is Pam going to go there? nadin's infamous parrot cage?
Yes!! She is!!
demtenjeep (23,082 posts)
98. I hope you cleaned up around those cages
moldy food, bird poop all over walls and weeks old food might not be the best environment to be bringing a new baby into the cage
have you decided on your new wing baby yet
demtenjeep (23,082 posts)
101. so tell me the steps to get to be a credited media outlet
did you go to journalism school/
are there any tests to be recognized as such/
any special organizations/
or
can anyone put anything on a hobby blog and call it 'nooz' as you say/
nadinbrzezinski (149,947 posts)
105. You are doing now a new form
Of discrediting. It is kind of humorous. You should try stand up.
Oh and you can research that yourself. I am sure you are capable of using the Google.
demtenjeep (23,082 posts)
107. oh i'm not the google queen. that be you

109. well thank you
