My girlfriend has Multiple Sclerosis. Bush has vetoed seven bills while in office, five of which have been health-care related, and three of which directly affect modern science's ability to treat and ****ing destroy this goddam disease in her body.
So now the drunken Pitt's girlfriend, now his tattooed bride, is cured.
Translating a bit, Pitt was whining about Bush having vetoed bills related to
fetal stem cell research.
At the time, there were zero therapies using
fetal stem cells, and on the order of a hundred using
adult stem cells. Today, after nearly 7 1/2 years of BHO,there are probably
still zero therapies using
fetal stem cells, and the number of therapies using
adult stem cells have multiplied.
Why?
Fetal stem cells were and are much more difficult to control than
adult stem cells, which often can be obtained from the patient herself or himself.
This was known at the time! But the underlying reason
fetal stem cell research/therapy was portrayed as the
holy grail of cure-alls was that it provided a "justification" for abortion (and a potentially huge stream of revenue for PP).
