He says he doesn't want to run for President and I am sure he means it for this election cycle. He understands that the odds against the Republican are great this time around.

However, Paul Ryan is looking at a bigger picture. He is laying the groundwork for a run in 2020. By simply having his name mentioned as a possible candidate in this cycle qualifies him for a run in the next election cycle. He is playing long-term politics. I believe him when he says he doesn't want the nomination this time around.

Personally, I don't understand why anyone would want to be president, I really don't. The world is blowing up and political correctness prevents anyone from dealing with the problem the way it should be dealt with. That ranges from boys who want to be girls, girls who want to be guys demanding to use any restroom they want depending on how they "feel" that day, to the muslim invasion of Europe/America and everyone is too scared to round them up and get rid of them for fear they'll hurt their feelings (but truth be told, scared they'll get killed by members of the peaceful religion), to anything else.

Sometimes I truly, honestly, and heartfelt, fear for the world my grandkids will grow up in.

Woooooo! How devious! Wants to run for President, figures he can't this year, but secretly plans a run 4 years from now! Scary, scary, SCARYYYY stuff!
