AUSTIN, Texas — Police have released to the media the arrest affidavit for the murder of University of Texas student Haruka Weiser.

According to the affidavit, Meechaiel Khalil Criner, 17, is charged with murder, a first degree felony.

Weiser was found dead Tuesday in Waller Creek in the center of the University of Texas campus. She was reported missing Monday after she failed to return to her dorm Sunday night.

When you read the story and the quotes from the police, you find that the alleged killer is not a homeless man, but a 17 year old homeless boy, a problem which is rapidly becoming an epidemic in America. He is a child of an alcoholic mother who gave him away at birth, a result of our failed American foster care system and now will become a part of our even worse horrific prison system. The victim, on the other hand, is described as "beautiful" and "beloved." Wouldn't it be astoundingly amazing if ALL children in America were considered "beautiful" and "beloved" and tragedies such as this were a thing of the past!!
Investigators have arrested a 17-year-old man in the on-campus slaying of a University of Texas student, Austin police said on Friday.

Don't speak ill of the dead (unless it is an evil person). The comments are against her. She is getting harangued.

Just proof that beauty does not make one smart.

How the guy came to be a violent murderer matters little at this point. Making sure he never has a chance to do it again matters, and if it's an option under TX law, being executed would be the proportional punishment.

I've seen a pic of her, and she was beautiful. He might have been too, but he made himself foul and ugly.
